id say the 1975 are too big for transmissions sub/headline king tuts? but thats sadly realistic.

They're playing similar sized venues as Chvrches (02 Academy/Barrowlands), and I wouldn't put Chvrches in a sub/headline Tuts spot. Think they're bang on the right size to headline Transmissions

The National are playing in London on the 12th July and Ireland on the 14th July. Surely they're quite likely to play T this year? Would love it since they missed out Scotland in November.

I'd say they're far too big to headline Transmissions. I think they've sold out their Academy tour next month and are doing 3 nights at both Brixton and Manchester Academy this month. I don't think Chvrches will headline Transmissions either, think high King Tuts is more likely for them.

Yeah I think Chvrches will end up getting an evening slot on the main stage. I like them and have seen them a couple of times but I think they would be better in a tent. Maybe subbing Tuts is the place for them.

I'd stick Science And Visions, and The Mother We Share in with those.

The whole albums gold, but "The Mother We Share," "Gun" and "Science/Visions" are the best tracks imo.

Chvrches album is pretty good and its worth going to youtube to see the videos for the singles then get the album if its your thing. Its a very good debut album, and one of my favourites from last year - behind Bowie's TND.

Would love them to play but the tour looks like it's only half announced, as it's only the west coast dates that are around at the moment.

Booked tickets for the Sunday at Field Day festival in London, where Pixies are headlining. I also have tickets for Arcade Fire at Earls Court the night before to make a weekend of it.

I can't see either band playing Scotland again this year now as their diaries look pretty full. Both were tremendous at the Barrowlands last year, and the new Pixies EPs are excellent.
