foolee
Agree, would be a good second announcement but won't be happening! Just like they didn't book Queens of the Stone Age last year it's those two they've missed out on this year, unsure how T manage to do it because they could easily get these bands to headline second stage which they'd be happy with or even Prodigy before Calvin or something. foolee
I bet the reason they didn't get booked was because they wanted headline and T didn't want to give them it. They seem to just be headlining the festivals they play at the moment and the last few years
harryomatic
Would have looked a lot better with the prodigy and black keys: Biffy Clyro Paolo Nutini Ed Sheeran Calvin Harris The Prodigy Pharrell Williams Arctic Monkeys The Black Keys Jake Bugg Much better, with just 2 acts added and one shifted a day
DomDom1984
The Black Keys probably would have gone down like a lead balloon. I'd say not booking them, especially in a high slot, is probably a good idea.
mattgimmeshelter
The Black Keys want headline spots at the moment, it's clear. See how their newest album goes down...

mrtourette
Thought the prodigy was a stick on for headlinging radio 1,so glad oor Geoff thought that elbow or rudimental are just as good My opinion is they will be at the summer sessions
mattgimmeshelter
Ed Sheeran is a sub, whether you like it or not. He's far too big for a third at any festival bar glastonbury.

DomDom1984
It's worth mentioning that Geoff Ellis mentioned the Summer Sessions earlier in the month, saying that they're happening. Kinda thought they might be off given that they haven't even been mentioned.
harryomatic
Aside from headliners I would have liked Courteeners, Enter Shikari and The Hives but not too fussed really
TheGaffer
Rockness is not happening this year, just incase that will have any impact on T this year?

Doug85
exactly will only mean more people will buy tickets for T who want to go to a festival this summer. wont mean anything in relation to bands. all quiet on the T front at the moment, i think they will just announce the extras randmonly some point towards the end of next month
DomDom1984
I'm actually surprised by the lack of announcements since the big one.
Doug85
was expecting at least another smaller name announced before the next batch but seems as though they will just do it all at once

DomDom1984
I think they'll announce a bigger gig to go along with their smaller ones. They'll be at T though I reckon.
