Exactly, if I want to get wasted. I'll go home and put iPod on, all my own music. Zero risk of E. coli, comfy bed and clean toilet to leave my insides in.....and the saving of 300 odd quid....

We'll have a few beers but I for the life of me cannot anyone who spends all that cash to lie pished in a field....

Kraftwerk last year had a poor attendance as well. We right on the barrier so we only realised how few were in when it finished and we were leaving.

My friends were at prodigy on the NME while eminem was on main stage and said it was quiet as well.....

No that crowd was massive compared to the others mentioned.

I get just pushed enough that I can still remember most of it. This generally means I can drink that pish water Tennents all day

i can never understand anyone who goes to a festival (any festival) and decides to sit in the campsite all day and get pished and then wander along to see the last few acts of the day (some dont even do that). its such a waste of money and they go home on the monday and claim they are festival goers and had a mint time. annoys the hell out of me. yes go to a festival and get pished by all means but dont miss out on the music which is supposed to be the real reason you are there. my highlights of festivals are not usually headliners but the surprise acts ive wandered along to during the day and have made a lasting impression whilst i drink a beer.

case in point i heard a group in the campsite last year who said they sat there all day getting pished until they went down to see only rihanna on the main stage....this made me die a little inside

The people that spend the money are the ones who decide the reason that they're there and nobody else. It's no different from the shitload of folk who went two years ago to see The Stone Roses and then fucked off again, And there's nothing wrong with that either.

They want to spend 200 quid to sit in a field? Power to them. If it's worth it to them, who are we to tell them otherwise?

true, you have a point there. its just my own personal opinion that a music festival should be about the music, not sitting in a field/tent getting drunk and missing out on all the entertainment thats there to be enjoyed. of course that is their choice i just cant understand it and i probs never will.

For the prices we are paying I've always tried to see as much as possible usually, even if it means seeing half sets amongst the lesser acts. Never understood the folk that go and don't leave the campsite.

Reckon it actually might have been the stones? They've been announced for dates very close to T in the Park in Europe.

The main reason we were ruling them out on here was because they'd have to play 3 days in a row in separate countries but I think that's what they're doing for Glastonbury as well, so it's a possibility.

Would be well placed under Arctic Monkeys, have toured with them before so are friends and surely need to play Scotland. Book them T if you haven't already!

Learned a while back that the poster is iffy for that sort of thing.

Plus, on the Pixies/Black Keys point, there's a major difference between a sub slot on main stage and headlining the tent. I'd wager T knew what they were getting with Kraftwerk last year and know the same for Pixies this year. Sub headline slot is much different.

Well, I'd imagine that Example will be much higher if he plays on main stage, and Tinie Tempah too probably.

That said, I fully expect it to be Monkeys/Bugg/Tempah. I expect that Example will headline King Tuts too. Imagine Dragons probably subbing the Radio 1 stage or in behind Tempah.

I know Disclosure are headlining Radio 1. That's why I never mentioned a headliner for that stage.

It's obvious that Example will be placed reasonably high. The V Festival poster puts a decent indicator on that. The recent single doesn't really have much say in how that goes, since bands constantly get put in slots that they shouldn't be in.

There's enough acts to fill out the top end of the bill at T.

Incidentally, I don't like the way the Sunday appears to be going ( thought that the last two years and wound up really enjoying it both times ), but it does look like it all makes a bit of sense to me.
