See my issue is, JB didn't actually look that bad at big weekend, his live shows have improved and he is incredibly talented as (I believe) there's only a drummer on stage with him, he does the rest.

But his placings are ridiculous, really he's a third down from top (or radio one sub). Which completely steals a slot from a big act. I guess you could say i'm not going to see him as a manner of boycotting...

I was also at Kasabian in Killie and followed it up with Alabama 3 on Friday night. Ears are fecked !

Been thinking about earplugs for a while. Couple of years back we went to see Craig Charles DJ-ing and for a few days after it sounded like anyone talking to me was on the helium ?!

You're well aware now that it isn't a one-off that he's being placed highly. I don't know why it's a common thing on these forums that actual festival bookers put an act somewhere in the lineup and they're apparently wrong, I mean how does one come to the decision that Jake Bugg is a third rather than a sub or Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are an NME headliner rather than a sub to such certainty?

Because Jake's been around for a year. He wasn't even a name in 2011 and he's already peaked in popularity.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis justify their slot much more than jake, more for the fact that they are arguably much bigger than jake bugg, and sell better than Jake Bugg.
