Although the HSE excuse is a total red herring it is 300mm diameter gas main pipe under balado, the exact same specification and size as pipes built to withstand 8 on the Richter scale under every city in Scotland......

It's not an excuse. You only need to look at the planning application for the site to see the amount of hoops the festival needs to jump through to satisfy the HSE.

I don't reckon the HSE have told them they have to move I reckon that GE has said enoughs enough trying to keep them happy and has decided to look elsewhere.

Which is what I said, we are moving because GE wants to. In my line of business the hoops I have to jump through for the HSE are no less onerous than application DF have for balado.....

Make no mistake he will have to jump through similar hoops wherever he sets up next. Do you think Michael Eavis throws a stage or two up in rural piton?? Hopes no one will notice??

Did anyone else completely miss the two wee acts announced today? Danny Howard is playing the Radio 1 stage on Friday, and Hunter & The Bear are playing the T Break Stage

Possibly. Still can't work out where the 25 or so unplaced acts along the bottom are going to go though. They're all just the perfect size for the Transmissions stage.

Could see them distributed between the T break stage and possibly palm stage, but if the palm stage doesn't have acts playing could be a few getting lower spots but I would have thought the poster would have stated more to be added like there was before danny howard was placed. Could possibly also just mean longer sets for the friday?

Palm Stage will be DJ's I am sure, mention of Lil Louis Vega on one of the bits I read. A bit like old B Bar, expect plenty of mojitos etc, said they are bringing the "Miami" feel to T.

Yeah Palm Stage was described as an outdoor dance area when it was announced. Though that was just for the Thursday night entertainment. Maybe on Fri/Sat/Sun it will be for bands.

I could see them having the small bands on there in the day and then dance acts/djs in the evening/night because there thinking might be it's a wasted stage in the day if it's just sat there so may as well make use of it.

Can't see ALL those bands at the bottom of the poster fitting on lower stages and T break, or would they? Just seems there are too many.

That could work yeah.

Well 17 of them (Hunter & The Bear until the end) are on the T Break Stage. Saint Raymond is playing on Sunday I believe. The Amazing Snakeheads are playing in BBC Introducing. Which leaves 25 acts from that bottom section.

I've just seen that Electric Daisy Carnival in Milton Keynes has lost it's Sunday. Calvin Harris was meant to headline that day but is now playing on Saturday the 12th, the same day he headlines. Going to be a tight one for him. Might have an effect on any stage set up he was planning.

Danny Howard was also meant to be playing the Sunday at EDC, but now plays TITP on Friday. Reckon we'll see any other DJs switch to T? Would be happy if Fatboy Slim did, and I could see the likes of Sigma and Gorgon City also transferring.

official confirmation of the move for next year, last year at balado is a shame, lots of good memories there. will try and make the most of this year as doubt i will be back next

essentials guide came out today too, ive noticed the friday night is showing as the arena closing at midnight rather than the usual 11pm. the saturday is 1am as we expected and the sunday is 11pm as normal but i cant remember any announcements the friday would be open until later
