Thats a bit shit... Wanted Arcade Fire really?

Why would they not want to miss out on the big saturday pop headliner, because Rihanna didn't exactly work well did she? Never seen so many people in a campsite when someone is playing, let alone a headliner! I could easily see them missing it out.

Biffy Clyro will headline.

Then it'll be one of Arctic Monkeys/Kings of Leon

Then someone like The Prodigy/Daft Punk/Bowie/Someone unexpected/not mentioned

Depends how they look at it. They might completely overlook the fact that the weekend wasn't a sellout and put it down to the recession or something, and then see the Rihanna day as a success.

They already seem to be out of touch so this wouldn't surprise me.

Definitely looked quieter going by the coverage, though the weather might have made look everything greener...

Seeing how other fests are starting to announce things, if the Download crowd doesn't want Aerosmith again I'd welcome them up here, not sure many else would mind

Got to admit I think they are a band past their best. I bought a lot of their stuff when it was released such as Pump and Permanent Vacation, but the last 5 of six albums were all filler.

Since Fleetwood Mac aren't going to tour due to John McVie's illness, perhaps getting someone like Stevie Nicks for a solo show would be good. She headlined Hard Rock Calling a couple of years ago.

I'm hopeful that with Arcade Fire being in Glasgow for a couple of nights this month that Geoff might be able to get some business done there if he hasn't already done so.

Maybe bands such as Pixies, Sigur Ros, and QOTSA could be available, and I keep hoping that one day Pearl Jam will make an appearance in Scotland again.

AF are in America when T is on. Fleetwood Mac/Nicks would never be at T. Aerosmith will be doing Download but that doesn't rule them out for T. Doubtful though. IF Sonisphere is back and IF it is the same weekend as T next year then there is the scope to share a few decent bands. It all depends on how much the younger pop direction fared in the balance books last year. They might actually have made more money as shite bands and DJs cost less to book :)

Just to point out though I'm not trying to be the defending but the guy who said that STP from what he heard were not at Download and Soni had them have been confirmed by AC as not being at Download. I know that doesn't confirmed them for Soni but it does mean there was an element of truth/maybe good guess work by him. And if Metallica/PJ aren't at Download tomorrow which I don't think anyone expects then they are both still free for Soni.
