Not sure why all of a sudden he would break his silence and spill a significant portion of the line up. Black Keys before FOB does seem pretty odd, unless GE has managed some booking wizardry.

What he has revealed has the beginnings of a pretty good line up, but I still reckon he's just attention seeking

That said, if there is a best of Scottish etc theme to each day, I'd be pretty chuffed with this:

Emile Sande or Paolo Nutini

Primal Scream

Frightened Rabbit

Twin Atlantic

Ticks a lot of boxes in terms of diversity of genres. I'd be well up for a fair few.

On another point people were mentioning last year about wanting more rock like QOTSA playing but how well do you think they would go down as headliners say as a smaller Friday night act been given the bump up, would it be seen as weak or would people be pleased with it

All hypothetical of course as I reckon they would be on Radio 1 headlining was just curious for peoples reaction

And yes they were awesome at the Hydro, didn't see that many dicks tbh but I wasn't right down the front so might have avoided them

I love QOTSA but I think I'd be slightly disappointed with them as a main stage headliner. Think they're the perfect size for sub or NME header.

The smallest main stage headliner should still be slightly bigger than QOTSA are now. Acts like Florence + The Machine and Calvin Harris fit that in my eyes. They're more popular than QOTSA, but it would still be a slightly risky bump up to make them main stage headliner right now.

Ideally I'd rather have them as a sub or NME headliner, but if it's a choice of them or a "bigger" pop act as headliner then I'd prefer them to be given the chance. If Mumford and Sons can do it then QOTSA could easily pull it off.

Also, I'm not long back from seeing Frightened Rabbit. They said that would be their last Scottish show for some time so I would think that rules them out for T next year unfortunately. They were superb tonight.
