T used to be one of the best festivals in the UK, perhaps even second to Glasto. Now its down to the level of V, which specialises in the pop market.

A lot of AM fans will be seeing them around now and probably won't be that fussed in buying tickets for T based on solely their announcement. Surely someone else could have been announced to sell tickets? I just find it bizarre.

The only year T hasn't had a new headliner has been 2009 so they make the effort each year of at least getting one new but these recycled acts are beginning to be a problem but they will sell tickets so they will continue doing so for the foreseeable future

There was face value tickets on sale a while after they went on sale and you could have got on ticketsoup last week. Agree they're popular but certainly not a ticket to die for

People were charging much more for tickets for Arcade Fire who are an infinitely superior live act.

If they have Biffy as a headliner as well It will show a huge lack of ambition.

Have to consider the venue for Arcade Fire too, anyone will pay more for a smaller setting. Nothing wrong with Biffy being announced, they deserve their time

So it is what the fans wanted. You can't write it off completely yet, one band has been announced and they're so big here, they're a no brainer for any festival. But T has been slipping that way for a while regardless.

Biffy get raved about here because they are Scottish but there are far bigger and better acts in their genre such as QOTSA, Foo Fighters. If it wasn't for x factor they wouldn't be getting talked about!
