true, but normally sites are able to predict whether its going to be awful and hammer it down a week before? So whilst the link I posted might be a bit optimistic, I think it at least shows chances of weather being awful aren't likely? Maybe im just being too hopeful!

I hate wellies, if it's that muddy you "need" wellies, I just find myself getting stuck to the ground because they're an arse to walk in, don't get why so many people last year were walking around in wellies when the ground was bone dry either. Multiple pairs of thick socks and some cheap primark trainers/old trainers in general, much better, more comfortable, easier to walk, jump, mosh etc in.

I'm a farmer (well, my dad is), so I'm used to wellies, and I always wear them at a muddy festival. There's always going to be some point when you stand in a puddle or there's sloppy mud above your ankles, and I'd rather not end up with water in my shoes and therefore damp feet all day.

I wore normal shoes at Rock Werchter though, and it's much better if there's no risk of the above situation occurring. Although in the mornings at the sinks the floor was a mudbath, and it happened every day, so I'm talking shit. I just didn't want to carry wellies to Belgium. I'm weak.

A trusty pair of Adidas Sambas will be my choice of footwear if the weather is dry, without a doubt the comfiest shoes I've ever put on my feet. I wear them to every standing gig I go to and they work a treat, plenty of cushion and support.

If the weather is looking less promising, I will be taking my old workbooks, fairly comfy and sturdy as they come, pretty much waterproof too which is a great bonus. Wellies are bottom of my list, I just dislike them so much, they're really hot and just 'clumpy, (the only word I can think of that describes what I mean), especially when walking in mud.
