I love it. Another brilliant album from them! They would be brilliant headlining!

only given it a couple of listens so i'm not going to be overly critical (yet), but i can't help but feel a bit disappointed. it's not that anything on it's particularly bad (although Flashbulb Eyes comes across as quite a nothing-song) but a lot of it comes across as quite Arcade Fire-by-numbers. i'm sure i'll grow to love it just like i did The Suburbs (which i remember being incredibly disappointed with on first few listens) but it definitely isn't the game changer i was hoping for. Normal Person and It's Never Over (Oh Orpheus) (and Reflektor of course) are the songs that jump out at me at the moment

Have to agree with FloorFiller, not impressed yet. Considering they've made 3 (IMO) flawless albums so far I think they're allowed a duffer.

Im not sure about that. I think it is pretty daring.

But I also think that the versions that people have downloaded are not of high enough quality to hear what is really going on. I think James Murphy has done and excellent job producing it.

Unlike the previous three, this one didn't get me on first listen at all. But I've listened about five times now and I do think it's mostly faultless.

After the title track the next few songs seemed a bit disappointing, only because the disco vibe of Reflektor was kinda left behind. Normal Person and onwards, I thought it could've been a completely different record and that's what I love about it. So although it doesn't seem as coherent as Funeral for example, I love that they've tried out loads of different sounds and that's what makes it exciting for me.

It would be silly not to have them play next year I reckon.

apparently tickets for the American Reflektors shows were almost impossible to get due to touts. hope this one isn't as bad. will definitely be trying to nab a ticket

If they're doing the Empress Ballroom, maybe they'll do Brixton or something, god forbid somewhere in Brizzle.

EDIT: Really don't understand why they'd sell tickets for this online though. Asking for touts to have them all. Why not just sell them at the bloody venue? I can understand for a regular arena gig or whatever, but they'd still sell out 3.5k quickly if they were sold over the counter.

Hopefully they could do something alike the Arctic Monkeys Don Valley gigs a few years back. Having to show your payment card and ID at the door could eliminate a few of the touts.
