zero000
They always have the synths too low in the mix for my liking when they play Sprawl II live. I've always thought the same too, it's what makes the song on record IMO.
LondonTom
Watching that pinkpop gig, Here comes the night time...is so good live!! I didn't like it that much on the album damn it got me in the mood live!
theDandy
I know it's a bit late in saying but how disappointing was the fancy dress turn out at Earls Court? I went on the Friday with the Mrs and we dressed in matching tuxedos, we seen a small handful of other people dressed up and it was a bit of a disappointment! Arcade Fire were outstanding as per usual but would have been the icing on the cake if more people were have to took the time to dress up! Can't wait for Glasto now to see them they're going to complete smash it, without a doubt in my mind!
FloorFiller
i think the fancy dress thing has kind of worn out it's welcome now. was pretty fun at the first run of gigs but now 9 months later in larger venues i don't think it has the same effect (together with the fact that a lot of the people at these gigs will've already done it at the Reflektor gigs). a good idea and i'm sure some people still enjoy it but the novelty could only last so long
LondonTom
I know it's a bit late in saying but how disappointing was the fancy dress turn out at Earls Court? Yeah a bit, i fucked up with the white I got being shorted sleeved and didn't fit so didn't bother in the end but I think with the way the weather turned out it would have been to sweaty for most tbh. I know i would have regretted dressing if I had managed to (I suppose I could have just worn the shirt and bow tie without a jacket ) I like it, they should keep on encourging it though and it was great when you spotted the people who had made an effort. Some great outfits were around.
Superscally
People aren't meant to be doing fancy dress at the gigs anymore. There's the explanation why it was sparsely observed...
Neal86
Considering changing my watching schedule and seeing elbow just so I can get a good view but risk my friends not getting near me who are seeing chvurches and bits of Jurrassic

GlastoBill
This is very likely to be the highlight of the festival for me. Love the latest album and such great live performers.
evilduck
Took delivery of a fantastic sequinned jacket yesterday, plus some neon ribbons for Regine-style streamers. The excitement is only going to get worse over the next two weeks!
bocumaroy
This is very likely to be the highlight of the festival for me. Love the latest album and such great live performers. Nice to see some positivity about Reflektor. I sort of love it, too. It’s just not as quite as good as the previous three. I think Reflektor, HCTNT, Porno, Afterlife, and It’s Never Over are all great. Looking like I might head to the Pyramid for the end of Elbow, now. Got a feeling the crowd further back aren’t going to be massively into it.

Yup, thanks to the timings will catch the end of Elbow's set which yeah 15 minutes of I don't mind at all!, then should be able to walk into the back of the front pit hopefully I'm also a Reflektor lover, there isn't a track I dislike on it but maybe I not I love the best tracks as much I do from the other albums. theDandy
I think I'm gonna just go for the full Elbow set, have a pleasant few beers (in the sun) whilst waiting for Arcade Fire to come on. Laavly.
FloorFiller
gonna be Danny Brown at the Park and then a leisurely stroll over to the Pyramid to get a spot for Arcade Fire for me! i never really care about getting near the front for headliners these days, but for both AF and Metallica i wanna get right in there
Porcelina
CHVRCHES with a bit of Billy Bragg en route and then settle down at sunset with a few ciders for the main event.

Got a feeling the crowd further back aren’t going to be massively into it. My missus is really keen to see Lilly Allen and I think I may have to cede to that so I suspect it'll be the Pyramid Stage all evening for me. At least I'll be right at the front for AF Also I really enjoyed Elbow last time round in 2011, I think they're perfect for the sunset slot on the Pyramid Stage, so have no problem with that plan. My only problem will be timing the inevitable drink / toilet trips so I don't have to fight my way back to the front!

bocumaroy
Not glasto related, but very cool to see that The Unicorns have reunited and are opening some shows for Arcade Fire. My only problem will be timing the inevitable drink / toilet trips so I don't have to fight my way back to the front! That’d be my problem if I watched the whole Elbow set, I’d probably need to go to the toilet some point in-between them and Arcade Fire so it would be a waste of time. Getting there just before they finish should ensure a good spot without having to move.

Got a feeling the crowd further back aren’t going to be massively into it. Only bought The Suburbs and Reflektor about 4 weeks ago, but had them on pretty much constant rotation since, wasn't massively into Reflektor when I first bought it, but after giving it what iTunes (other music software is available) reliably informs me is 15 listens, I really like it. Current feel like Funeral >>>> Reflektor>Neon Bible>Burbs All great albums though.
Porcelina
Reflektor's their slowest burner whilst I think The Suburbs is the most instant.

theDandy
http://www.nme.com/news/james-murphy/77880 James Murphy set to be at Glasto? He's got to be doing a song with Arcade Fire, what do we reckon? Mentioned before on here that Drunk Girls or North American Scum would be class!
