Is a DVD/Blu Ray release planned for this? Not surprised to hear its a bit like Mirror Noir, I thought that would be documentary-esque.

Was just gunna ask the same question!

Didn't get around to seeing it, frustratingly, hope a DVD will be released!

Another question, what's Mirror Noir? Intrigued

Haven't listened to the deluxe yet. Reflektor is already too long anyway, and from what I heard of the new stuff from the film it doesn't sound like anything spectacular.

Listened to the new songs today, they are ok! Nothing special and won't change your mind about the album!

The London screenings were all silly money , so  waiting for the presumable Blu-Ray release!

Can't bloody wait. I saw them twice on the Reflektor tour (Earls & Glastonbury). I haven't been dying to see them ever since

Hoping though as the album won't be out until probably early/mid 2017 then they can get their act together and release the 'Her' score on vinyl. I'm fed up of listening to my crap mp3 version.

Yeah I've just seen this so that combined with the festivals thing sounds more promising. I'd imagine they'll do R&L again or maybe IOW but I'm mainly hoping for a proper tour next time round.

Do we think R&L would be their place again? I'd say it was because they were bolstered by Libertines that they got it last time. They could pull a crowd at R&L if needed, but it's not their main audience. It's feasible that Latitude could go for them again, both the band and the festival have grown a lot. If Latitude want to repeat a headliner, there's not many better candidates. This would be in the far-flung future of summer 2018 though! Festivals might be on their last legs, as saying at home and downloading a festival package into the virtual reality app on your iCerebral Implant TM. Or we'll be post-zombie apocalypse.

I think Bestival would be more likely than Latitude tbh.

I think they'd still fit in at R&L, yeah, although I'm not sure why I missed out Bestival as that's arguably the best fit. I can see Latitude going for them and although Latitude is clearly growing and booking bigger acts I think Arcade Fire might just be out of their reach now. I imagine they'd probably be the biggest headliner Latitude has ever had?

Probably, but they're really not all that much bigger than our Noel, they're really only a bigger draw because of the rarity.

I'm not expecting a new Sigur Ros album until much later in the year or 2017 given they've said they'll be playing unreleased songs at the festivals they're playing this summer. Definitely not expecting a new Arcade Fire album until 2017 either, we'll be lucky to get a new song or two at BBK or NOS Alive.

“every time you go on tour you want it to be different…and every time it is, usually because you have a new album you want to play people.  and that can be fun, because you have to work out how to recreate all the complicated stuff you did in the studio for the stage.  but there was a time when things were the other way round, when we worked stuff out on the road, and trying to capture lightning in a bottle was a problem for the studio later on.  this time, in addition to playing songs you know, we wanted to remember the seat-of-your-pants feeling experienced in the wake of, ágætis byrjun, when for two years we formed and re-formed the songs that would go on to be the ( ) album, live in front of people, night after night.  with this in mind, we are pleased to announce that we are playing festivals next summer in the spirit of adventure. all we can say right now is it’s going to be different, with new unreleased songs, a new show and maybe some other *new* things. beyond that, we can only ask you to trust us on this one.” – sigur rós (taken from http://sigur-ros.co.uk/tour/).

I took this as there being a new album? I might be wrong. To be honest I wasn't expecting either Arcade Fire or Sigur Ros album until very late 2016 at the earliest, all new material by each artist within the next 18 months is massively pleasant anyway.
