Yes. Still unproven. We don't want the band coming in here and calling us names.

But you're right about it being nuts about the Bowie collab - I watch that video all the time and I don't think they can quite believe it. I think only a few years into their career they had also performed with Springsteen, Young, Byrne and U2. Those kids know.

Nice! Were Will Butler and the one who now has a beard hiding under the stage or summat? The guy on rhythm is the bloke who generally drums right?

Maybe Will wasn't at the gig...or he could have just been standing to the right

In this other one from 2004 it looks like looks like the six of them without him...

and also in the interview for that gig they talk about cutting the touring band down to 6. (Also Tim the beard guy beardless)

But then there's all seven of them in this other one from 2004

Oh I love them... I called them being a headliner for 2014 three months before they had even released the album. I just knew they were going to release something special and they would not suit anything but a headliner spot. I really hope they will headline again... however I think its more likely that it will be next year, as their album will be coming out in autumn/winter 2017, and they would want the crowd to be familiar if not obsessed with the album.

Similar to how Radiohead toured last summer with A Moon Shaped Pool, but only now that it has truly settled in everyones mind are they ready to headline Glastonbury. Glastonbury is less of a promotional festival for most artists but more of a final climax on the journey of an album/tour.

if by 'next year' you mean 2018 then it's a fallow year so they won't be playing (not that they'd headline again so soon after their last headline performance anyway). if they ever do return i don't think it'll be for a while

Will was in and out of the band in their early days as he was at University around the same time, so performed when he could.

Jeremy always plays rhythm guitar on Tunnels with Regine on drums even to this day.

Yeah ArcadeFiretube is the don.

I was just listening to Neon Bible yesterday and I was wondering if they'd bring out another moodier record with a political edge because of Trump. Obviously this has no bearing really as it's not on the album but still something to ponder.

Not sure how much I like the idea anyway. Can envisage something a bit ham-fisted.

Yeah, this is my worry. I don't want something dumb and reactionary, but bear in mind that this is the band that made The Suburbs, they've definitely got it in them to make a timely, relevant album about the events that led to Trump.
