Didn't get a ticket for The National in the end, although if they're still available I may make a last minute decision. I'm not 100% that I can escape work two nights running to get there

I still have no idea what to wear! Probably a suit, either my dinner suit complete with bow tie, or my city gent pinstripe suit as I'm in London!

As the name suggests I'm a fan but just can't get into Reflektor so much. I want to like it because they haven't played it safe with this album, and it definitely doesn't sound samey. But there's just not enough that grabs me from the album and lyrically I think it's their weakest album too, off each of the last three there's been various lyrics that have grabbed me but not so much on this one as yet.

That said the title track is maybe the best thing they've done since Funeral and I really like Porno' sweeping beauty, It's Never Over has that vitality and urgency that I would associate with a lot of their best stuff and the closer Supersymmetry works really well. But a lot of the rest of the album drags things out for too long.

Still looking forward to seeing them down here in Sydney in January, though bit disappointed so many of these songs are so long - it will push out some of the old favourites out of the set list for sure. But then I do think there's a fair old possibility I might gain more of an appreciation for some of these songs when I seen them live since they're so rhythm based.

Okay, well you just write the word 'spoiler' in brackets before your spoiler stuff and then afterwards finish it off with the same thing but with forward-slash in front of the word 'spoiler'.
