mrtourette
So I'm guessing its got to be either Glastonbury or Latitude then?http://arcadefire.com/live/IOW
Porcelina
Tuesday night was sublime, a real honour to see them in that venue, ending with Supersymmetry was a perfect low key way to come full circle on the album, after opening with Reflektor. Although I did see The National last night and honestly, they topped Arcade Fire. Would love to see Eavis take a punt and for both to headline the Pyramid next year. jackarmy
They headlined Lattitude in 2007, far too big for there now. Really hoping for a Glastonbury headline slot, but can see them going for the payday at the Isle of Wight. I think with the new album they've definitely got the material to pull off a classic headline slot: Afterlife, Reflektor, Normal Person, We Exist, Here Comes The Night Time added to their storming setlists from 2010/11 in the place of a few of the lesser known tracks from the first 3 albums would easily captivate a Pyramid crowd. mrtourette
The National headlining the Pyramid? Jesus Christ.
LondonTom
Boo means no UK arena tour until next autumn really :(Still Glastonbury will be great! zero000
The National bored me shitless when they played the other stage. I don't understand the appeal.

The National are a cracking band but they would be ridiculous Pyramid headliners.

kpins
Afterlife is probably my favourite song on the new album. Its an absolute barnstormer, and it should be filling dance floors up and down the country. (It won't of course, that is reserved for shitty Rhianna remixes). It all depends which dance-floors you go to.
Tuna
National to sub arcade fire. Said it before, would go down in history as a majestic evening.
AnneFranksDrumkit
There is a nice big glasto sized space in Arcade Fires tour dates now all their US tour dates are out

GlastoSimon
They HAVE to do it now don't they?! Coachella and Glastonbury/IOW on the cards I'd imagine.
Bluearsedfly
haha. come on man, stop being stupid. as much as i love afterlife (it's my fave off the album), it isn't something for the dancefloor. it's the opposite! You seen the VMA footage? YouTube it if not

Whilst I fully agree with the sentiment, there's no way The National could headline Pyramid. Subbing to Arcade Fire maybe but even that would be a huge leap. Zoo Music Girl
The National are having a break for a year from February. Not any more apparently - see The National thread Matt has said they'll be touring next year. Not sure how far into next year but not giving up hope. russycarps
The National bored me shitless when they played the other stage. I don't understand the appeal. I saw them then also and agree it was pretty dull, sadly. They are a completely different proposition at their own gigs in a small venue however. they wouldnt work on the pyramid that's for sure, and talk of headlining is insanity. FloorFiller
It's Isle of Wight or Glasto then. Has anyone ever headlined both? Neil Young in '09, and The Prodigy headlined it that same year when they were on Other at Glasto. but that's it it seems

I agree with this but I'd like to see them headline a small stage. I think that would work. I just want them there in any capacity to be honest as I have developed a bit of a scary obsession with them.
