How're the legs on that looking?

Is anyone still listening to it or are copies already gathering dust?

Was thinking about this yesterday. This thread has been going round for a while now and "I don't see any "check out this tune" etc chat. And not hearing too much of them on radio/TV etc.

You'd worry about a headline set.

Would love this as a setlist but think it would be very long! Not sure if the set time would be allowed... but something like this would be very nice indeed

What do you mean? The thread has mostly been geared towards ideal setlists and how people are starting to love Reflektor.

Way more of the former than the latter.

I ask as I've not been drawn back to it at all since I saw The Reflektors back in November. The title track is still a keeper, but the thought of hearing a lot of the rest of it again hasn't really inspired me to cue it up for quite a while.

wow posting a list on this is annoying... anyway something like that above, maybe with Neighbourhood #2 (Laika), Empty Room, Flashbulb Eyes, Here Comes the Nighttime thrown in too! Too many to chose from, they should just get a good 3 hour set! I can only dream...

Had Afterlife in my head the other day, popped it on then felt I had to listen to the whole album. Still definitely has replay value, even if there are quite a few weak songs on it. Still draws me back, which is nice... The Suburbs didn't!

To be honest, in a twenty-song set, I can't see them playing any more than 5 from Reflektor anyway. (Especially as some of the album is so fecking long in places and just wouldn't work at a festival)

Bought the album upon its release and had Normal Person in my head today, so some tracks have that lasting value. I think we'll see Reflektor, Afterlife, Normal Person, Here Comes The Night Time and We Exist at Glastonbury. Maybe one of It's Never Over/Awful Sound at a push.

I do worry that some of the new songs won't carry off in a headline festival set, but the above mentioned should be fine :)

I'd expect It's Never Over, they've been toying with it as an opener at their warm up gigs and it sounds like it could be a keeper. But yeah, I think the songs you listed seem likely.

I thought that was an obvious omission from my list, hence it's inclusion at the end. To be fair, it could work. Not 100% sure it would open mind.

On a side note, if they began to play You Already Know on the Pyramid, people would mistake the guitar for Johnny Marr's playing and immediately assume there was a Smiths reunion going on :P

Went on a nerdy stalk around the Arcade Fire fan forums (what a mouthful). Apparently this is their take on the worst to best tracks from Reflektor:

13 You Already Know
12 Here Comes the Night Time II
11 Flashbulb Eyes
10 Porno
9 Joan of Arc
8 We Exist
7 Supersymmetry
6 Normal Person
5 Awful Sound (Oh Eurydice)
4 Here Comes the Night Time
3 Reflektor
2 It's Never Over (Hey Orpheus)
1 Afterlife

Thoughts? I'd personally put Reflektor as number 1 and It's Never Over would be nowhere near my top 5.

About right I'd say. Personally I quite like Porno and I'd actually have Supersymmetry higher but You Already Know is definitely the weakest.

I'm still giving the album a figurative spin fairly regulary ...might becos when I am not sure what I fancy its at the top of my Spotify playlist...but occasionally I get in the mood for one of the songs. (Joan of Arc, We exist, Normal Person, Afterlife normally)

My favourite Reflektor tracks best to worst;

1. Reflektor

I must confess, I haven't bothered with it yet. I love the song, I just can't be bothered with a 70 minute album. I was buying CDs yesterday so I dragged myself over to the discounted copies of Reflektor, and nearly bought it, but the sticker proudly boasting an album across two CDs caused me to leave it on the shelf and buy a Fats Domino compilation instead.
