Winslow Leach
There's a few live favourites I'd be more than happy to see them drop. Intervention springs to mind in particular. Wishful thinking I know, but I'd love to see Empty Room live, I still think that should have been a single from The Suburbs.

Tuna
My favourite Reflektor tracks best to worst; 1. Reflektor I must confess, I haven't bothered with it yet. I love the song, I just can't be bothered with a 70 minute album. I was buying CDs yesterday so I dragged myself over to the discounted copies of Reflektor, and nearly bought it, but the sticker proudly boasting an album across two CDs caused me to leave it on the shelf and buy a Fats Domino compilation instead. go buy it you muppet. go listen! Zoo Music Girl
It sounds like a bad clash b side crossed with the theme from monkey island to me Monkey Island! That brought back memories! Probably why I like it so much too And yes, Gonzo, this is the most listy thread in the world! Can't be arsed myself but impressive dedication all round. I've not listened in a couple of weeks but I do like it more and more. Going to whack it on today for the commute.
Zoo Music Girl
Yep it's still growing. Some of these songs will sound great on Pyramid! Excitement (tinged with ticketless anxiety)!
russycarps
I downloaded it over the weekend and have played it a couple of times now. I'm not a big fan of it on record, but can see how it would be much better live. Not an album I'll play much, but definitely wouldnt put me off going to see them in june The steadily declining tag still applies. Keeping up the list theme, it's: funeral>neon bible>suburbs>reflektor for me
Zoo Music Girl
I'd switch Suburbs and Reflektor personally. But yeah it's way better live. Tracks that I ignored on record really stood out at the gig.
russycarps
I reckon I'd go see them just to lash my skidded undies at the frizzy haired woman: I love her.
Winslow Leach
Neon Bible is the only Arcade Fire album I never feel the desire to go back and listen to. It's got a big, booming but essentially hollow sound. At time it even veers dangerously close to Bono territory.
LondonTom
Well lets carry on with the lists Had to listen to it again after all the talk yesterday on here (ToTP Countdown order (Worse to best);P): Awful sound (oh eurydice) Porno Supersymmetry Here comes the night time II It's never over (oh orpheus) You already know Here comes the night time Flashbulb eyes Normal person Reflektor We exist Afterlife Joan of arc The top 5 were hard to order actually! carlosj
I do a mix tape (ok, a CD) for the journey down, and I've only just got Reflektor, joining Neon Bible as my Arcade Fire collection... I will have to check out more of their stuff then. I need a new job further away, as I used to listen to music most on the commute but am much nearer to work now. Sweep
Funeral > Neon Bible, Suburbs, Reflektor Funeral is a near-perfect record. All the others are flawed in a variety of ways, but have tracks that I love nonetheless. I don't think they're declining, but I doubt they'll ever recapture the magic of Funeral. Their trajectory as a band seems fairly narrow now that they've embraced stadium performance, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Can't wait to see them at Earls Court and Glastonbury later this year. I welcome the new sound of reflektor and worry that funeral will sound dated alongside the new stuff Great music speaks for itself. I doubt the Funeral material would sound dated, it will probably be the crowning glory of the set. Edited January 12, 2014 by Sweep
CHRLY
I think that they will reach the peak of funeral again just in a different way, win said himself that each album they could easily be a different band I.e the funerals, the neon bible's. I love funeral it's one of my favourite records of all time but reflektor has moments that are just as outstanding as some on funeral for me
