Time to get there on the friday

Hi All

First time at creamfields this year.

Was speaking to one of my friends that has been to other festivals and he said there are always ques to get in and to get there early to get a good spot on the campsite..

Could anyone give me any advice on when to get there.. We will get there REALLY EARLY if need be as we want a good spot and have a large tent so don't want to struggle and have to go right to the back..

Any other tips appreciated for first timers.

They are quite strict about not letting anyone in until midday.

We'll get there about 11 probably. Regardless when you get there, even of first in the queue you'll need to wait.

I wouldn't worry about space for your big tent, there will be plenty.

Sure the arena doesn't open till 4/5 maybe (can't remember) so you've plenty time to get in, get set up & get on the beers.

Think I'll be getting there for 11ish on the Friday too if that helps? Some people will literally go at the crack of dawn and just sit at the gates until they start letting everyone through lol

Last two years we have got there for around 11.30 and by the time you have got all your gear out of the car and to the gates they are letting in..... the standard camping queue moved much quicker than the hospitality which was pretty annoying!

Make sure you dont have any glass bottles

Always loads of room on the friday to get set up

When the arena opens on the friday as Capt says about 5ish get the headphones for the silent disco first so you dont have to queue.

I still have a set of headphones from when I went in 2011 as the bastards told us we could return them any time over the weekend.. Went to return them on the Saturday and they'd shut up shop!!

Reckon I will be there about 11.30am, Have an apartment the night before in Liverpool to save us driving down from Scotland at silly time and think we need to be out there about 10.30.

Ah so I see nobody will be there at like 9am then haha.. That just a waste of my time then

Another question is how do we know which campsite we are in because I can only see luxury and then like red green etc.. We are in hospitality so is that a certain colour?

On the map it seems hospitality is called luxury camping and that's a grey colour!

It's between the tangerine fields and the green campsite.
