Camping/Parking - Leaving the site?

Hi Folks,

We are heading to Creamfields from Burnley on Friday afternoon.

I have been reading that once you have you're ticket scanned, you are then not aloud to leave the site. Is this true??

We had plans to use a local supermarket or something to restock beer supplies!! If it's true I can understand why they say that, but does anyone know if it is strictly enforced??

If so, what do people recommend for beer and food. There will be 4 of us (1 car) and we haven't been for 7years!!!!!

Cheers, can't wait

Mark

Once your in thats it. If you leave u cannot get back in.

The website says 1 case of bear per person and 1 bottle of spirits

You can get away with maybe 30 cans but spirits are easier to get in. You can premix a few 2ltrs of coke/fanta plus u can put clear spirits in water bottles they never check.

The alcohol limits aren't strictly enforced for example you could get away with vodka, white sambuca etc in a water bottle. If you are planning on taking cases of lager/cider in then unless the amount you have with you looks excessive they shouldn't kick up a fuss, especially when they have to search and let in hundreds of others in the queue behind you! Spirits are obviously easier to conceal, you can just stick a coke bottle full inside a rolled up sleeping bag.

Remember no glass or they will ask you to either decant it or bin it! Poor lad in front of us last year had to throw away 2 cases of Grolsch!

Head to the supermarket the night before/morning before you set of because once you're in you can't go out :( consider the weight and the distance to the campsite before you buy heavy crates
