Yes.

I've attended a few on my own through one reason or another and although a totally different experience it's just as enjoyable as going with a group in it's own way. You also seem to connect with the music more as there are less distractions.

Always met people to chat with when I've felt like company, don't get much more sociable events than music festivals - like a night club in a field.
