Best crowds I saw this year were mostly away from the main stage. SOADs crowd was amazing, Biffy's seemed amazing, but I couldn't really tell as I was on the barrier - everyone around me knew all the words though which was good. Eminem's crowd sounded great from where I was to, kind of middle-ish right, and in front of the barrier closest to the stage. Although Green Day's looked poor, as I was stood outside of it until they started Dookie.

Chance the Rapper, And So I Watch You From Afar, Hacktivist, FIDLAR and The 1975 all had insane crowds.

Crowd fucked me off so much on mainstage Sunday. Right at the front for NIN and the people around me were sound, but one tosser threw a lit cigarette that burnt my ear. Another tosser threw piss which hit the girl next to me and splashed.

And then, during Biffy, absolutely noone else knew the words to Questions and Answers so they stopped playing that after two attempts at a singalong and went to Machines instead. Fucking w*nk.

Was ace in the Rock tent though. Didn't think anyone else would be singing along to nearly every one of Filter's songs! Good for SOAD as well, moshpits a bit tame but still plenty fun.

I think I got lucky at NIN and Biffy, I was right on the barrier, on the right, straight bit just before it curves so it was a great spot, and everyone around me knew all the words to the entire NIN and Biffy sets! They only played half of Q&A at Leeds too, I think it was intentional though?

They did the same at Leeds, I guess that's the disadvantage of taking 4 albums to get commercial success. There cant be too many big bands who have waited that long in recent years. These days it seems your lucky to get a second chance if the debut doesn't sell well.

I was 3 from the barrier for NIN, but I've seen Biffy loads of times and needed a piss, so went off for one and then came back to just in front of the 2nd barrier.

I don't think it was planned, just before starting Q&A he asked everyone to singalong, and then after 2 tries with the chorus not getting a major response he went "OK, can you sing to Machines then?" and played that. Ridiculously infuriating.
