I am new to efestivals and am really interested in your call Kendalls Calling festival after visiting Glastonbury Festival in the past 5 years.

Does anyone know if the "payment scheme" is open to international visitors or if it's just for English?

What kind of music the festival usually have? I looked at this years line-up and I was transported back to the 1990s - it is the same in the next year?

Is there an airport in Kendall for arrivals? Or there is only train station?

Hope you can help me decide everything - Kendalls Calling or somewhere else?

International airports include (from the nearest) Blackpool, Leeds, Durham, Manchester, and Liverpool, with a local airport at Carlisle. From there it's still a full-on train journey.

I guess they'll always be a something of a 1990s vibe as that was the peak of Madchester and they love their northern tunes in the north, but nobody knows who'll headline next year. They could go bleeding edge. We shall see.

I'd say KC is the best festival of it's size I've ever been to. A beautiful mix of bars, tunes, activities, and people.

That said, I think their rave tent could do with a kick up the arse. I know it's not a dance festival but a lot of the late-night DJs were pathetic... certainly compared to the funky geniuses at the Sub Club who play Rockness each year.

So no direct travels to Kendalls? How far is it from Kendalls trainstation to the camping sites?

I dont like english dance music, it is not like european dance music cascada, avicii, daft punk, fragma, scooter, whigfield to name just some. Does the Kendalls Calling have this music too?

Kendal isn't even the nearest town to Kendal Calling. Penrith is.

Oh, and from Penrith there's a shuttle service to the campsite, if I recall correctly.

Otherwise a taxi is about £15 or so.
