mattgimmeshelter
Yeah that's what I was getting at. Oh I thought you were just reiterating the point. I think hel probably get a big slot at bestival next year. Maybe glasto too? And reading.

Yellow_Fellow
This can't be [neo-]nazi music then. Not speed metal. I said tends to be. Not exclusively is! But I know you just wanted an opportunity to link your sound of the summer
Gucci Piggy
So to break away from the neo-Nazi discussions... Reading in the Glastonbury section people discussing the possibility of Alt-J subbing or 3rd down on the Pyramid. Surely either of these slots (especially subbing, obviously) would make them a feasible sub for R&L? The Black Keys Two Door Cinema Club The Gaslight Anthem Royal Blood The Prodigy Alt-J Enter Shikari Rudimental Metallica Frank Turner Bring Me the Horizon Rise Against Actually I think that really needs another headliner either above or co-headlining with The Black Keys, and a few acts across the weekend bumped down. Actually reading it back it doesn't look that odd/bad. Edited July 17, 2014 by Will-2609
dentalplan
Would probably switch Royal Blood and Gaslight Anthem around, and just get shot of Rudimental all together as they'd probably play a little higher and that'd just upset folk. But yeah I think that's a good prediction.
TheSilence
Two Door into the Black Keys would be so dull.

And more material I guess. But fair enough. Suppose Rudimental could headline NME? Just that they seem to keep playing main stages everywhere. They always seem to have big gigs though. Bigger than other acts placed similarly anyway. But it could go either way really, I just think they'll want to capitalise on the Royal Blood hype. Maybe on Rudimental. I'd say that or third I guess.
VCK
It depends on how well Alt-J's next album does, of course. Can see them being 3rd. Royal Blood will also probably be high on Main too, I agree.
JSmurphy
I would love to see Alt-J return next year, still gutted I chose to see Eminem over them last year.
atomised
I'm absolutely convinced Frank turner will sub next year
mattgimmeshelter
I'm absolutely convinced Frank turner will sub next year But he's not a massive act. Yeah Jake Bugg subbing is a push of a booking, but he actually has a following that can fill a mainstage crowd. Was huge at T, even though people were waiting for AM the crowd was still singing along to his songs.

the wonderwhy
Do people still care about Alt-J? I haven't noticed anyone talk about them anywhere for like a year and I didn't notice their new song get much attention
Gucci Piggy
An Alt-J song came on at 1am in McDonald's last night and my friend started singing along, and then another friend asked her if she could borrow their album, so I guess lots of people still like them. dentalplan
Seemed to get a lot of hype from what I saw. And they sold out Ally Pally which I don't know the significance of but people mention it when bands do that.
Gucci Piggy
Well it's bigger than Brixton so it must be significant.

Babyquack
So bigger than NME headliner I take it About the same level. EDIT: Just realised that ofc it's the same level, they did Ally Pally before they headlined NME last year Edited July 17, 2014 by Babyquack
