Lineup 2015

I know a few people that like KOL (one girl I knows loves them) but most people only know Only By The Night and don't tend to give a shit about them and even the ones that liked them enough to see them this year don't see that interested about them (expect for that girl). But the kids still love Blink and I know loads more Blink fans (me included)

I'd say KoL are as popular as the Killers are now. They're still a big name and probably will never be lower than a headline slot but interest in them has entirely waned.

I'm not so sure mate - played Wembley last year. Just because they've gone out of the spotlight for a while because they've essentially finished touring the latest album doesn't mean people aren't still interested in them and excited about seeing them live.

Yes but IOW isn't R+L. IOW almost exclusively hosts some of the safest, most boring stadium rock names as headliners so they were never going to fail there. R+L is more youth-centric and, as raw pointed out earlier, I don't think youth really gives a shit about them anymore now they're just releasing as an excuse to do tours that sell off the back of OBTN.

Exactly, the reason why IOW lineups are liked by people is because they play it safe every year.

I bet the Arctics will be booked next near for IOW.

They did Wembley but KOL have done Milton Keynes, Liberty Stadium, ST James Park, Sad Hydro in Glasgow, Sheffield Motorpoint and IOW. That seems pretty huge and in demand. Although I don't know how that compares to Titp, iow and Wembley

Out of a group of us going (12 I think) only about 6/7 of us plan to go to blink - the rest seem to be going to disclosure

Out of a group of about 25 of us going, I know only one person going to Blink, the rest will be at either Disclosure or Flume.

Perhaps we can use this information about what everyone's friends are doing to create an accurate assessment of how big each act's crowd will be and whether they are justified headliners?

Or perhaps it means fuck all. Who knows.

Every year from 2010 they seem to have a band that appeals to the pop punk fans, an band that appeals to the indie fans and a band that appeals to the hard rock fans.

2010

Pop Punk: Blink 182

Indie: Arcade Fire

Hard Rock: Guns & Roses

2011

Pop Punk: My Chemical Romance

Indie: The Strokes

Hard Rock: Muse

2012

Pop Punk: Foo Fighters

Indie: Kasabian

Hard Rock: The Cure (more classic rock but yeah)

2013

Pop Punk: Green Day

Indie: Eminem

Hard Rock: Biffy Clyro (kinda)

2014

Pop Punk: Blink 182/Paramore

Indie: Arctic Monkeys

Hard Rock: Queens of the Stone Age

So in 2015

Pop Punk: Red Hot Chili Peppers?

Indie: The Libertines/The Black Keys?

Hard Rock: Metallica?
