Matt42
I really don't think they're gonna headline. They aren't as big as people make out. It isn't enough to just have 1 or 2 singles that people know, it really isn't. completely the contrary to people I know, I guess that's a biased sample but they could easily headline with a new album. I'd say next album does as well as el camino and they are headliners everywhere.

Gold on the Ceiling and Lonely Boy and that's all the crowd so much as looked at in 2012. And I don't want to deal with them at the festival in any capacity whatsoever tbh
Gucci Piggy
I reckon The Black Keys will sub IOW this year (perhaps along with 30STM) and that the third Latitude headliner will be one of them or Portishead (leaning towards Portishead). I could see them headlining next year if the album does well.
dentalplan
I agree with Yellow_Fellow at the moment, but I'm open to them headlining. I'm pretty indifferent on them but they'd be something new to the headliner pool at least. However, I think they'd need performances at festivals this year to stir up a bit of interest for a headline slot.

I agree with Matt42, they would be even bigger with the new album.

If Latitude had Portishead they would have probably announced them already seeing as they would definitely sell more tickets than Albarn and TDCC probably put together. Aye but so would The Black Keys. Could easily hold back their biggest headliner, like R&L.

I'm not sure The Black Key's aren't on the same level as Albarn. And that's the thing, as they're an exclusive I'd say Blink are a bigger seller this year than the other headliners. Sure Arctics are bigger but not necessarily a bigger seller.

Well they play arenas successfully and I'm not sure Albarn would.
Tobieski
The Black keys are certainly larger than a solo Damon Albarn
dentalplan
Someone on the Glasto boards says they've heard TBK are headlining Latitude so that could be something towards a headline slot next year if it comes off. Bit strange if they headlined the same festival as TDCC because, well, they're much bigger.

But it's indeed a weird booking because they are much bigger as you said. Also, did any previous Latitude headliners made a step-up to R&L that quickly? Matt42
Thing is, this guy is dropping names but claiming they are guesses. However every single one of his guesses is coming true so it's obvious he knows more than he lets on.

kaosmark2
Hi guys, I'm exploring the subject of illegal drug use at UK music festivals for my dissertation and would be so very grateful if you could fill out this survey. Its anonymous and will take less than 5 minutes and would really help me out with my research. Much appreciated x https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7XLHBSP [/copper]

Do you think the fact that electronic dance music becoming more mainstream has resulted in a higher tolerance of illicit drug use? I feel you, brother
mrtourette
What about drug use in non-electronic dance music? I heard that ballroom show on the telly is rife with the contestants getting mashed before the performances.
