kingcrawler
Jamie T not being on the same day as Metallica makes me think the third headliner might be heavier as well, as the general consensus on here is that he'll headline NME and I doubt they'd put him up against KOL or someone similar. ToeJaylor
Linkin Park subbed by BMTH? dentalplan
Linkin Park subbed by BMTH? BMTH seem to be gaining momentum behind them, and they seem to be a favourite at Leeds so I wouldn't be surprised if they get bumped up to sub... BMTH aren't meant to be releasing until late this year. Seems they're targeting the end of summer but I think bumping them up to third or sub would need an album certainly out before then. So I really wouldn't count on them being back. I reckon they could release in autumn or something and come back round and headline Download, and they couldn't do that if they took a filler spot at R+L. Jamie T not being on the same day as Metallica makes me think the third headliner might be heavier as well, as the general consensus on here is that he'll headline NME and I doubt they'd put him up against KOL or someone similar. I think I'm disagreeing with you for the first time here. Don't see why they'd make sure not to clash Jamie T and Kings of Leon; plus they could work around it like they did with Arctics and Bombay last year. Could also be an older headliner like when Maccabees were up against The Cure or something. Also Jamie T could just be on the Main Stage bill for the day Libertines headline. TheSilence
Yeah I wouldn't be shocked of BMTH subbed really. Though I've no idea what they've done as I've no interest in them. Have they released an album since they last played?
Gucci Piggy
Jamie T seems exactly the kind of "big indie artist of the year" to take up the Vaccines/Foals 3rd top slot. Christ I'm sounding like Matt/Zac do in the Glastonbury section now.
Andre91
Tame Impala have a new album out at some point this year, which they've said is going to be more electronic. If it is out by R&L then I'd expect them to play. NME sub? Peace Tame Impala Catfish and The Bottlemen

Have they released an album since they last played? I haven't any interest in them either but I have to keep up to date for this discussion! They had a moderately successful academy tour and album in 2013, played 5th down. In 2013 they announced a Wembley Arena gig in January a whole 11 months in advance, played third down at Download, sold out and played said arena gig and then had a pretty successful single. Now they can sub without a new record apparently because of Macklemore or something. Tame Impala have a new album out at some point this year, which they've said is going to be more electronic. If it is out by R&L then I'd expect them to play. NME sub? Peace Tame Impala Catfish and The Bottlemen Bigger than that I'd imagine. The amount they've been hyped since the last album I'd assume they'd move up more than one single place. Also I didn't know about the electronic thing. Boooooo. TBH Coachella's line ups has never really impressed me and the whole you can't drink whilst the bands are playing just seems stupid to me. aidenlangan95
I reckon Jack White could possibly headline (or sub) this year. Having seen him on the Blunderbuss tour, he has a great live band. Then again, Coachella could be near the end of his current tour.
kingcrawler
I'd be surprised if he's still touring in August, I'd have thought he'd have moved on to doing stuff The Dead Weather by then.
aidenlangan95
I reckon the Dead Weather might wait until after the summer to record their album and then tour next year possibly. I think it's already recorded. Released two songs off it anyway.
aidenlangan95
I think it's already recorded. Released two songs off it anyway. Then they might wait until the latter half of 2015 to promote the album then (rather than record it) and do festivals etc in 2016. mrtourette
is there a possibility Paolo Nutini could play? I'm basing this on the fact that r&l had the likes of Jake Bugg and Macklemore playing last yearJake Bugg and Macklemore haven't got anything to do with Paolo Nutini.
