Gucci Piggy
Love it. Reckon we're all set on The Cribs headlining FR, then. Opposite Mumford or Linkin Park if they play, please.

Bisque
Close enough to Reading to go there on the day and find a tout, got a Sunday last year for £65. If not, just hit the pub all day. I think if The Libertines play & people seeing how good Metallica were at Glastonbury on the TV it will be a sell out, or at least close to the festival. I might try Gumtree June/July. nickybu
I could see Libertines subbing under Metallica.
Brown Bread
I bumped into Miles Kane at a Liverpool game 2 weeks ago and asked him whens he next touring. He told me that he is working on the new album, but doesn't know when he'll be touring. But he told me he was playing at reading fest. Matt42
Libertines it is then Libertines and mumford (it probably) is then
JSmurphy
I'd take Libs / Metallica / Mumford all day (though would prefer RHCP to Mumford but w/e), if Knife Party are booked and placed opposite Mumford then that'd be very good. mrtourette
Mumford are a perfectly reasonable headliner for R&L nowadyas, they got s hell of a crowd last time they played (up against Queens). Not a perfect fit but they'd get away with it alongside a contrasting act like Metallica.Personally I wouldn't see any of three so it would take one hell of an undercard or some seriously impressive NME headliners (highly unlikely) to get me interested. Mumfords were fine for the festival in 2010 when they were a quaint, up and coming festival act. There were people (probably people here) who watched them then that probably hate them now they're a massive act that are favourites with their parents. I couldn't honestly say "Coldplay aren't right for R+L" to people (that one guy) if the likes of Mumford are headlining. I am more than willing to (figuratively) eat my words if they do headline but I just don't see it. DGrant261
Libs/metallica/mumford is stronger than queens,paramore/arctics/blink lol Agreed,it's very strong in my eyes. Melvin has said all three headliners 'Have guitars' and one is 'Not a typical R&L headliner' (Mumfords). I think the three offer great diversity within R&L's normal fan base

Gucci Piggy
If it is those three I say Linkin Park to sub Metallica (wouldn't normally but there ain't any suitable sub I can see playing), and two of Alt-J/TDCC/The Vaccines to sub the other two. dentalplan
Libs/metallica/mumford is stronger than queens,paramore/arctics/blink lol Give it a few months/days and they'll be "'meh' headliners" again.
Yellow_Fellow
Happy with Libertines/Metallica, they're a good two strong headliners. But Mumfords, I agree, are too... what's the word. Pop. They have almost entirely rejected the contemporary now. I don't see it.
Amy Lawn
Mumfords will sell loads of tickets to people who might not have necessarily gone to R&L, Libs will sell loads of tickets to people who probably would have gone anyway, smart move by Melvin. conroy17
been said 1000 times but Libs/Mumfords/Metallica with a decent NME headliner or Refused up against mumfords would be a great set of headliners Edited January 17, 2015 by conroy17
justanothername
Not every act is going to play against Mumford you guys Also on The Cribs headlining FR would be very good but if that did happen and knowing my luck The Cribs, Refused and Metallica would all clash and the other two headliners would be Linkin Park and Mumford
