Gucci Piggy
what do you get out of being a pretentious twat There was a guy who used to post on here that did exactly that; I don't think you've been on here long enough to have known that. I think that's what tourette was making a joke about.

mrtourette
what do you get out of being a pretentious twat What do I get out of it? Nothing, it's all to benefit you. I don't expect thanks, the knowledge that I make a difference is enough for me. And as Will says, it's a running joke. justanothername
Smashing Pumpkins to release two albums in 2015 :) :) Is everyone going to predict them now when they probably won't play. Would be awesome if they did though
dentalplan
Is everyone going to predict them now when they probably won't play. Would be awesome if they did though Pretty much the reason I didn't post it when I read it. "Smashing Pumpkins to release two albums next year" "Cool. NME headline?" "No, you fucking idiot"

mrtourette
Call me skeptical but I'm not confident there'll be enough quality material to spread over two albums.

They are one of the few bands to release a double album that did have enough. That was a long time ago though.

Bill's whittling down over 150 tracks. Quality is obviously subjective though, Billy could get rid of two album's worth of phenomenal tracks there. P.S. Is it skeptical or sceptical? Yeah 'twas a good album but my take on more recent stuff doesn't fill me with excitement at this prospect, but he's always been one for grandiose and dramatic stateemnts so I'd imagine there's a specific reason for two albums (ie the themes behind them) that make the fact that there's two more important than the music. I wasn't excited for Oceania but that album restored by interest in future studio output.
Tobieski
Oceania was certainly an improvement on the likes of Zeitgeist, but it wasn't exactly great.
