ClemFandango97
Longitude in Ireland just released their line-up, worth noting that The Vaccines are not subbing their either and they are below Sbtrkt, James Blake and Caribou and the headliners on the poster. As a medium sized festival, you would probably expect them to be in contention for a headline spot, maybe they won't sub Reading?
ClemFandango97
Oh yeah, and hello again.
dentalplan
It's worth noting Longitude is in Ireland where they didn't play the biggest arena or have a no. 1 album and Hozier is headlining it. And that's about it.
Gucci Piggy
They're gonna headline the Lake Stage at Latitude.
zico martin
Well its not looking like a very inspiring line up so far, any hopes or rumours on who might be up against the behemoth that is mumford & sons?
charley
There's no way Suede would headline NME, it's R/L 2015, be reasonable You are probably right but when bands like Blink can headline the whole thing I dont see why not as Suede were certainly bigger than Blink ever were and sold out a pretty big Academy tour last year (which was probably the best gig i saw last year). Plus as you say there is the whole NME tie in and who knows maybe a new album by then too. I'd certainly watch them above Metallica or bloody Mumford. But i am old! Bisque
bands like Blink can headline the whole thing I dont see why not as Suede were certainly bigger than Blink ever were and sold out a pretty big Academy tour last year Valid except teenagers couldn't care less about Suede. charley
Do modern teenagers like Blink? They never really struck me as the sort of band that would pass the test of time, I guess the headliner booking means they do, it always seems wierd to me that a band disappears for a few years (like Blink) and when they return they are a bigger booking than they were at their peak (they were never headline material in their 'prime'). Wont the teenagers be watching Mumford or some such shite anyway?
tyranicide
Have you not listened to a Blink 182 album? They're the ultimate LADS
charley
I do have the big one whatever it was called. Not listened to it a great deal, I remember it had a song about fucking a dog up the arse. #Lads.

dentalplan
Sounds like the sort of thing Jack White would say and then they announce the fourth headliner with the poster. So they're just announcing The Libertines and not the poster? That's a first - the poster when all the headliners have been announced. #FreeComTruise
The quote is obviously from Doherty isn't it? He strikes me as the type to say like a lot, probably is Pete rather than Carl. Just hoping they announce some more decent bands on the undercard to make getting a weekend ticket worthwhile. Matt42
Did anyone hear the Pete interview they had when they were announced for T in the Park? It sounded heavily edited, I won't be surprise if this quote came from that He was talking about thailand then suddenly went.. "Oh yeah and T in the Park that'l be good" I'm trying to find it, but it was quite a while ago so I won't be surprised if it's gone from the world.
