This Swans album isn't what I expected and is a bit creepy actually.

It's bloody terrifying.

I got Swans confused with Dead Swans and got very confused when I listened to To Be Kind just then.

Puzzle and Only Revolutions come close but Blackened Sky is just too good.

Blackened Sky > Puzzle > Only Revolutions > Vertigo of Bliss > Infinity Land > Opposites

although they're all avid 10/10's.

I tried to listen to that Swans album once but after around 30 minutes and 1.5 songs I gave up and baptised myself.

For me personally BS is my favourite biffy album, but what we have to remember is that they have been together since 95 so that's 7 years of possible song writing for BS, however you have VOB just a year after, if they wrote VOB in a year that's extremely impressive, unless of course most of VOB is also part of that 7 year catalogue between 95 and 2002

Blackened sky is a mixed bag, you can hear the songs that were written much earlier than the others as it sounds like a different band to some of the others. Also, Simon trying to sing with an American twang is a bit cringey
