Offspring playing 2 club shows the week of the festival? Surely that makes them likely?

They could do the Metallica day but the fact that they're doing shows (which aren't even sold out) suggests that they want to do something in the UK whilst they're in Europe. Why have the shows if you're playing R&L and gigs like that are normally announced after they have been announced and are warm up gigs

Has any tried the URL thing?

Yeah, nothing and I tried the acts announced last night and I doubt it will work again (and if it did I wouldn't have mentioned it until a got a lot of names)

I tried earlier, everything was the 'you're more lost than Alan' not even atreyu was access denied and they've been announced

If that is the case, you gotta think R/L dropped the ball not getting Offspring, its not like they dont wanna do fests, they're playing Rock En Sein the same weekend

Perhaps they were approached and didn't agree with the billing they'd receive. It wouldn't be a great one at R+L nowadays whereas they can go about Europe subbing or headlining.

I highly doubt it lol, they were class in 2011 at Leeds although Leto and his donkeys following didn't give a lot to live up to lol.

It would make sense when you look at the lower section of that lineup day but would seem strange they'd clash with Limp Bizkit, it's going to be alt-J surely? Besides Jared Leto is working on a film at the moment so not sure that he'd have time to play shows with TSTM

Id hardly say its a given that Brand New won't be there. They dropped out in 2013 so they 'owe' a performance and they're in Europe at the end of summer.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if they showed up tomorrow. Could slot in easy on Metallica day
