just had a guy mail me some info, saying that a reformed oasis is happening.

He's someone who has sent us kosher info in the past, tho he's also sent us some wrong stuff. His place in things means that he hears stuff but has no way of knowing whether what he's hearing is correct. He has his doubts about this.

But then again, it's quite likely that his source would know about it happening if it is happening, so there might be something to it.

He's told me enough for me to do some decent digging around, which I hope will be enough to find out something either way.

PS: nothing about what he said relates to Glastonbury, BTW. Just that they're (supposedly) reforming. I've posted it in here because this was the first Oasis topic that came up when I searched for Oasis.

More tabloid reports: http://www.irishmirror.ie/showbiz/celebrity-news/noel-gallagher-refuses-oasis-world-2928464

£20 million?? Don't believe that, surely whoever would be making the re-union arrangements couldn't recoup that fee from two gigs at Knebworth & a bit of publicity. Load of bullsh*t..

reforming just five years after splitting would be stupid. if you're gonna split, do it for the long haul and then reform when you're either broke and need the money or have something new to say. if Oasis reformed now, what will've changed? absolutely nothing

Which is why the whole thing is farcical.

I sigh every time I see an 'Oasis reunion' story, because it's all about ££££££. All the media stories, interview comments, reunion rumours, all done to keep Oasis in the public eye for when they do eventually (in the next couple of years for me) reform.

I don't really believe there is any kind of feud between the two of them.

They genuinely fell out, which is why they cancelled big shows and split the band. There's no timescale on the thing. If they make up then they could reform the band at any moment. The number of years since the split is irrelevant.

Anyway, given that they seemingly are speaking again, id say those oft talked about What's The Story shows will happen next year for the 20th anniversary.
