Nobody should ever post a set list without Pink Rabbits.

I also don't understand why so many people leave out Slow Show. Or Available.

wonder if we could get Radiohead/The National/The XX on the pyramid as a 3-some on the Friday. flip the order of The national/xx even

i do think that after a 7 year gap they're not going for just another Other billing, but are primed/were waiting for a Pyramid slot. They've got to be part of the Radiohead build up.

I really think the Pyramid is a bad shout for these lads. Think Beck last year... Imagine them trying to finish on Vanderlyle whilst all the families chat away. A small yet dedicated Other stage crowd is what they need.

That was because they were on before Coldplay!

In what I now call "The Coldplay-Beck Effect"

Catchy, I know.

so my introduction to the national was sea of love a few years ago. it was one of my fav songs of the year but i just never got around to listening to them properly.

So i sat down today and listened to their most played live songs .... and fuck me these guys are incredible. i regret i didnt listen to them properly years ago.  they feel like a radiohead sub??

Hm, maybe. I still see The Pyramid in the light as a bad situation. Plus, they're my banker for a good Sunday headliner to send me into the fallow year.

P.s I know that's you, Simon.

slow show is in my top 3

It's quite simply flipping brill

There's an article someone written by some Americans who put the 32 top National Songs in tournament brackets. I think they possibly seeded them somehow.

Then for each knock-out match up they listened to each one three times and so on until quarters, semis and the final. Not too many decisions I'd disagree with. Might dig it out once I have a break from work...
