Earthwindandfire2205
If you are ACTUALLY Earth Wind & Fire (as your name suggests) then I think you should get in touch with the West Holts bookers!! If I had their addresses I would be banging on their door. Have loved them for 35 years

eFestivals
was a weird choice for latitude i thought, crowd were prob even less interested than they normally are!I reckon they booked it because for the Latitude crowd anything involving Hot Chip farts perfume? Some people need to step away from their fashion-led 'tastes', I'd say. CaledonianGonzo
Hot Chip are alright, but they'd give their eye teeth for a tune like Atomic Bomb.

Memory Man
Hot Chip are alright, but they'd give their eye teeth for a tune like Atomic Bomb. they've got plenty! both are great and need no comparison. I would love to see this happen.
eFestivals
This has got West Holts written all over it:zero chance of this now, or anything David Byrne. He's just announced a similar collaberation which includes "Nelly Furtado, Kelis, St Vincent, How To Dress Well, Devonté Hynes, Nico Mulhy and Ira Glass, David Byrne, tUnE-yArDs, + MORE" which has shows in New York and Toronto over Glasto-time. 5co77ie
that rules out St Vincent too then.On a positive note Akua Naru is playing Switzerlan on the 28th - maybe a quick trip over for the Friday? CaledonianGonzo
Though I don't think the Atomic Band thing is Byrne-dependant. It is a Luaka Bop thing, but I think it's similar to Africa Express where it's just a rotating / collaborative line-up around a core band. Beady Eye are Oasis with a core band doesn't make them any good.

CaledonianGonzo
I'd be there for the Onyeabor. At the risk of bringing down the wrath of the gods upon me, I'm Byrne agnostic. Someone like Damon Albarn would do just as well.
fatyeti24
I'm currently working my way through the Onyeabor back catalogue. There's some fantastic stuff in there beyond what was re-released in 2013.

They were at Latitude as the Sunday lunchtime slot, no David Byrne or Damon Albarn (even though he had played the night before). Was still a great set, really enjoyed it.
