SOAD
I really wanted to go, but was already at EOTR that weekend. So gutted they clashed. Was good. Was my first small festival and I went on my own so felt a bit bored when there was no music. However, because of the way they ran the stages you could see bands pretty much all day. Definitely worth a go. Saw loads of great sets.

kemosabe
Dog Is Dead - On the introducing stage last year and had a big crowd watching them. They have just released a new album and are about to start on a UK Tour. If they dont make the step up at Leeds i expect them at V. BTW they have a Free EP download on there website (if you fancy a good deal)

sammylee
Drowners-Band from New York with a bit of a Smiths/Strokes vibe. dentalplan
This would work if The Smiths and The Strokes sounded remotely similar... They sound like The Smiths and dress like The Strokes so it's a fair comment. Also, I'm certain that singer is British. Unless he's just listened to enough 80's jangle to start singing in that accent in front of a Union Jack.
the wonderwhy
Is Bliss are cool. I'll admit to not knowing a lot about them but they're from Portsmouth so thought I'd give 'em a plug (local team & all that). Desire (https://soundcloud.com/isbliss/desire-1) is really dreamy whilst Nitrate Confusion (https://soundcloud.com/isbliss/nitrate-confusion) is alot more doom and gloom, bringing in the Horrors/MBV kind of influences. I'm really enjoying Year Round Summer Of Love (despite the shitty name- https://soundcloud.com/lolomusic/lolo-year-round-summer-of-love) by Lolo at the moment as well. Pretty sure I haven't mentioned her already.
dentalplan
I just spotted this song on NME's top 50 song thing so they're not exactly unknown but they've been supporting Temples and Palma VIolets so they must be fairly new. Very good song anyway:

dentalplan
Haha, yeah he's welsh. Didn't think it was important enough to mention originally. No I was just expecting him to have a New York accent beforehand. Found another that's pretty cool. Arc & Stones. Dunno if they've played UK or anything but they sound quite cool. A fair bit like another band as well, you'll see...

dentalplan
It's pretty sweet. They're labelmates of the last band I posted. Hate Hate Hate Records might be worth bookmarking for the future if they're looking after some decent bands.
