New Years resolutions - what are yours?

I've got a few.

(1) To exercise my body a lot more than I do - which is currently not a lot.

(2) To eat more healthily.

(3) To systematically go through my Windows 7 for Dummies book for an hour every night. I bought the book quite some time ago and haven't looked at it since.

I think they are reasonable goals and should be achievable.

Mine is to cut down my supermarket bill by doing more shopping at butchers, bakers, and candlestickmakers.

Though in reality I might scrub the last one and replace with newsagents, pharmacies, book shops etc.

Oh, and second resolution is to complete an Olympic length triathlon in less than 4 hours.

Get back to running and general exercise and stick to it as I let it slip somewhat in the last couple of months.

To ease off on drinking and to start enjoying it again rather than drinking for the sake of it

As someone above said these are to be done early in the new year. Both very achievable

1) Sort my health out as much as I can. I've got nearly a dozen ongoing health issues that I haven't put the time and energy into taking care of and having regular GP appointments etc.

2) Write. It's over two years since I was writing with any sort of regularity about anything and I really miss it.

Other things I want to do, but those are very much the priorities mid-term.

Work harder.

Go to more festivals.. even if it means volunteering on my own as most of my friends aren't interested in festivals anymore.

Save save save so I can go travelling late on this year.

Get a six pack (atm I have a 2 pack but I'm pretty sure they're my ribs so it doesn't count).

That's about it really.

my main one is to make sure my health is at its best, as I'm sure that over the last year or so I've neglected it a bit too much (even at my young age - have seen people around me have problems which has me slightly worried) . other than that am aiming to keep a healthy balance so that by the end of summer I can achieve a half marathon without suffering too much, moving onto a marathon within a year

All of you talking about health being a NY priority. Good on you. I've been working out, daily, for almost two years now and the difference is just insane. So much fitter, feel so much better.

Anyway, I'm ramping up my fitness. In addition to the daily (or twice or thrice daily) workouts, I'm adding the Beachbody P90x (as in 90 days and Extreme). It's a bit scammy with the "buy our supplements" rubbish, a section you can safely ignore, but it is a good rota of exercises and is focused on trying to stick to a great diet. Also like the variations of the exercises.

January, February, March. Ninety days. A good start to the year.

Overall, my major resolution for 2014 is to be happy! Having said that, I've just returned to the UK after six months in Europe, so my first priority is to find a job .....
