My fave changes on a monthiy basis due to the fact i had listened to very little music until i was 25 so im pretty much constantly discovering new acts i didn't know excisted, which this forum is great for and one of the main reasons i come on here only started listning to Jeff buckley recently because of a convo i read on here and he's awesome!

This month however my fave band is the pixies!

Oh, having heard Grace, I intend to build up my collection as quickly as possible. My funds cannot keep up with the amount of new music i am discovering and wanting to get at the moment. I've finally completed my collection of the entire discographies of The Faint and Echo and the Bunnymen, and all of a sudden my Christmas amazon vouchers have disappeared.

Well there's only live albums and an incompleted one beyond Grace. Mystery White Boy is definitely the pick of the live albums.

I've only got Danse Macabre by The Faint. Recommendations for further ones?

I like Echo and the Bunnymen, but I feel they've only got a few albums that particularly stand out and the others tend to blur into one for me. Crocodiles, Porcupine and Ocean Rain are excellent, but I've never found any of the others particularly rewarding.

It's definitely refreshing to listen to something that's a bit out of your comfort zone, and I think it helps to listen to bands you already love in a different way

I have one mate who I'm gradually getting into more stuff, NIN and Editors within a week was the first stage, taking him to Werchter this year is the next, soon he'll be singing the praises of all these bands too ;)

I'm going to buy Illinois once I've checked how much money is in my account today, I've got like 50 albums in my amazon "saved for later" basket :P and Mystery White Boy is also one of them, used for a penny!

Ahh okay, ill check it out :)

Danse Macabre is definitely my favourite of their albums. I'd thoroughly recommend listening to Blank Wave Arcade but it's only like half an hour long so it isn't massive. Also worth checking out the remix albums of both of those records.

Porcupine is without doubt my favourite album of theirs but i also would recommend Heaven up Here, i think that's a great album.

I need to get my own copies of the rest of his live albums at some point, but they're more collectibles for variation rather than essential listening like Grace and MWB.

Yeah, it's fantastic. I'll check it out :)

I reckon Ocean Rain is probably my favourite, but those 3 stand out to me. Heaven Up Here is probably the next best I'd agree, but it feels to me like they ran out of ideas.

I could sit and listen to Echo and the Bunnymen for hours straight and not get bored in the slightest :P

I spent £28 quid on an album a few years ago as at the time, it was difficult to get it over in the UK. I wouldn't have minded this for a one off but now its being sold for £9 on amazon and i never listen to it anymore -.-
