I fucking hate the Sex Pistols and could never make it through the album in full.

I love Bowie, but I've hardly listened to Ziggy, only made it all the way through once.

Otherwise it's big acts that I've heard bits of, didn't really like and haven't made the effort to listen to more. The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Elton John, Springsteen, Neil Diamond, U2, Bon Jovi (I'm being a bit harsh on the first two lumping them in with following)

I'd agree with that, but for some reason it's the one people tend to go to. Any idea of a better alternative?

I meant to say at the start of this thread that my fun new years resolution was to listen to "classic albums" I haven't heard to try and broaden my musical taste a bit. So any recommendations of other lists are great. :)

I have been working on reducing my list for the last few years - by doing shag all at work and you tubing them and then buying the vinyl as and when I have the money.

Still not heard:

Jeff buckley

Nick Drake (Any of them)

Any Gram Parsons or Burrito brothers

Any Joni Mitchell

Heard on internet once or twice but still not bought:

Pearl

Cheap Thrills

Metal Box

New York Dolls

Horses

Easter

John Lee Hooker

Muddy Waters

Son House

there's loads more but they're the ones that spring to mind off the top of my head
