I maintain that Metronomy doing Academy dates takes them off the FR too. Not sure what Fickle Friends have done to put them top half of R1 either. I have no idea why they'd decide to make BMTH a coheadliner - even one that doesn't close - 19 months after their album has come out after passing on them the year previous. And one with Slipknot as well? It's like making Courteeners a headliner with The Killers. It mostly seems reasonable. Wouldn't be terribly interesting to me but I guess that's the norm now. I just think he’s so lapped up by the kids at the moment that he’s way more likely to play a very high slot at Reading which won’t be relative to anywhere else. I think he could genuinely play third down or sub NME.

I imagine RTJ4 will see them take on venues like Ally Pally so it won't be that unreasonable - I would have them 3rd down normally. I would have put Aitch in 5th - as you have him - but all the acts I have in 5th are more established and have played much bigger venues so I don't see it as him being relatively hard-done. However, I forgot about Everything Everything being on the backburner until the Foals tour is done so I don't see them playing, allowing him to slide up one spot. I wouldn't predict him any higher than that though.

Slipknot with Tyler or a similar rapper subbing would work imo. Also they did Download last year. Put them with a well established indie band and a popular rapper on two of the other days with a decent undercard (with a popular name headlining the R1 Stage at the same time) and it’ll be fine. Idles subbing is a crazy shout though and it's not happening. I would probably swap Babymetal with the act above them. Tyler the Creator subbing seems like a decent shout but I can't imagine him not playing Wireless. Or, I can imagine him not playing Wireless because that's what most of their scheduled headliners end up doing, but I can't imagine him not being booked to headline Wireless. There aren't any names coming to mind though so it's probably fair enough. I don't think they'd have both Imagine Dragons and BMTH subbing again. They haven't had a repeat sub booking in years, so to have two seems unlikely to me. I think the main stage could do with at least one more prominent rap artist, preferably on the Travis Scott day, but the rest looks good to me.
