CG31
Class mate, a couple of things tho. Firstly why is there a differing amount of acts on the main stages each day. Surely the MSE has either more or the same as the MSW so it can finish last. Secondly, I don’t think Slowthai goes up against Post Malone, I think he’s more likely to clash with LG. And finally with 2 Main stages I don’t think IDLES sub what potentially becomes the third stage

Slowthai was a last minute throw in, i originally had IDLES there but wanted thai in there as well but couldn't find anywhere else he would fit.. IDLES would still be subbing the second stage, the main stage might now be split in two but theoretically its still the same stage, it's just going to have a much quicker turn around of acts now. I would be pretty pleased if that was the final lineup though, maybe swap All Time Low out for NBT and I'd be chuffed

foolee
I'd say it's highly unlikely we're getting a Radio 1 stage looking at the current line-up and the 2 main stage thing, possibly so they can have big acts on all day and get people in the arena early and partially due to space. I've done a little breakdown of where I think will play and added in a few acts I can see being announced. Reading Fri: MSE: Stormzy, Lewis Capaldi, Mabel, Aitch, Declan McKenna MSW: Catish & the Bottlemen, AJ Tracey, You Me At Six, Blackbear, Sea Girls Dance: MK The Pit: Gallows, Ashnikko, Nova Twins FR: Sports Team 1 Extra: Madison Beer, Jack Harlow, Dreya Mac Sat: MSE: Post Malone, Two Door Cinema Club, Doja Cat, Sigrid, Inhaler MSW: Disclosure, The Wombats, Dababy, Tom Grennan, Waterparks Dance: Solardo The Pit: Fever 333 FR: Beabadoobee 1 Extra: Sun: MSE: Liam Gallagher, Gerry Cinnamon, Charli XCX, Sam Fender, KSI MSW: Queens of the Stone Age, Yungblud, Slowthai, Pale Waves, Bloxx Dance: Crucast, Sofi Tukker The Pit: Neck Deep, Hot Milk FR: Girl In Red, Lyra, 100 Gecs 1 Extra: Bad Boy Chiller Crew, Niko B, Ivorian Doll

No need to put a band in now that would do the Kendall/Y Not etc medium fest headliner rounds. Just wait until next year and bill them when you'll need a bit more time to sell a festival. I actually think the same about Idles too but there was something the other day suggesting they were around with a gap. Edit: having looked at that gap there is enough reason to also think they may just be having a break. They would have to do Saturday and Sunday and then they have from the 30th to September 7th off. It would also be the only time they are doing 4 dates in 4 different venues with only one day off before two more gigs other sides of the country. The only time they are doing something similar is the 5 dates in a row but 3 are the same Glasgow venue and then there is a substantial break. 6 gigs in 5 different venues over 7 days seems pretty unlikely. I think they may just be saved for a sub next year. Edited March 28, 2021 by thewayiam
