G-Stud
Really don't want to see Scotland bottom of the heap. I think Wales are in with a chance of winning it this year.
TheGayTent
Wales should win by default. England never do well on the back of a Lions tour, and have only 2 home matches. Ireland are still pretty poor I think. Wales to win the championship but not the grand slam - they won't win in London and Dublin.

thesecretingredientiscrime
I'd be worried about Wales' start... they're missing a couple of key players. It's worth noting they're missing Warburton, Jones, Evans and Jenkins for the first game, and possibly a similar number for the second. Italy really shouldn't prove a test for them, but it's obviously vital to get off to a good start, especially when they have Ireland second. It's a cliche to point out France have won each Six Nations after a Lions, but I think it's important, especially when you take Gatland into consideration. England are an evolving team, and relatively untried and untested in the areas they look set to be adapting and if France come out of Saturday with a strong performance, and a decent win, I'd struggle to look past them. I was lucky (or unlucky) enough to be at the Eire-All Blacks game, and we did very very well. However, it's important to remember, Schmidt is three games into the job, and we've been average in one, awful in another, and very very good in the other. He's without a doubt a great coach, it's just questionable, and will be very interesting to see whether he can take his perceived knowledge into the next year, and future, off the back of the All Blacks performance. Wooderson
? Or is that a certain type of humour not all of us will get? You British Westlife fans can never be completely understood, complex people.

zero000
Im sure I heard no team has ever won the 6 (or 5) nations on their own 3 times in a row. Unfortunately cant see wales bucking that trend, I think theres too much instability with injuries/politics etc at present. Not sure who will win though, the good thing about the 6 nations at present is the fact there isnt an outstanding team means everyone is relatively close. pink_triangle
I watched the rugby league world cup final live and left early, that's a couple of hours I will never get back. Agree with the sentiment above league is better for clubs and union for countries.
Alcatraz
Yawn with regards to League/Union. Both great codes. Predicitons for 6N: 1) Wales 2) England 3) Ireland 4) France 5) Scotland 6) Italy I've been lucky to watch 3 very bright members of the England squad at Bath this season, several more in the Saxons squad. Pleased to see Ashton has been binned off, and Jonny May is an electric prospect. Nowell on the other wing is a bit more of a steady presence. I'm hoping Anthony Watson gets a spot on the bench at some point in the 6N. Luther Burrell really should have had a bit of a go in the Autumn. I think he can rise to it, I'm still unconvinced by Twelvetrees inside. France are the perpetual mess, so I'm confident of an England win tomorrow
grumpyhack
England supporters gone quiet on here. They played well but lost. Wales (my team) played below par but won. A wake up call for everyone. P.S. Mrs Grumpyhack is spending tonight meeting up with two old friends in Cardiff and they've booked to eat in an Italian restaurant. Should be an interesting evening. JC-Mo'Fucka
same old England, despite all the positives of that match we were massively liable to mistakes and letting people slip through too easily. Constantly felt like France could break through us on every attack. France weren't all that either. grumpyhack
Joined Mrs GH in Cardiff in the end. Great to see Italian fans and Welsh fans sitting alongside each other in an Italian restaurant after the match all singing along together. Had that been soccer they'd have been beating the crap out of each other. Mind you the cheers in the Cardiff bars where the France - England match was being shown were deafening every time France did anything. pink_triangle
I was very pleasantly surprised. For sure, losing so late was a kick in the teeth, but bar a couple of sloppy mistakes that was a very good performance. Individual errors by inexperienced players will get ironed out over time. Still hard to see Northern hemisphere World Cup semi-finalists that aren't England or France. If Wales and England reproduce their respective performances at Twickenham on 9th March there'll only be one winner. Think the key game for the championship is now in 3 weeks times in Cardiff. TheGayTent
One thing with England I just find their coach/captain combination really uninspiring, not that they are poor tactically/poor players but they both just always come across ot me as remarkably unremarkable. zero000
Absolute shocker for Wales, but Ireland played incredibly well, Gatland's game plan was well and truly sussed and nullified. Wales were stuffed up front and the backline had no chance. Why Tipuric and Hook weren't brought on earlier I have no idea.
grumpyhack
Oh dear. Wales were well and truly outplayed and poor old Scotland. Gatland had better come up with a better gameplan before we meet England.
