Had to leave out First Aid Kit as it looks like they clash with Real Estate, and it was hard to leave out Angel Olsen, but I've already seen her this year, which is also true of The War on Drugs, but no way do they get left off.

Anyone got any advice on picking a spot to camp?

Info on the festival's website is limited. There seems to be implications that there may be quieter areas - ideally want to avoid these.

hi mr beard.

general camping is the largest area and it's the first bit you come to after the general box office. family camping & quiet camping etc is at the other end of the camping area.

everything is pretty well signposted

Whats the policy on taking alcohol into the Arena. I came in 2011 and it was pretty much that if securuty saw you carrying it in they would take it off you but they didnt search bags. Is that still the case?

Back at work after a great weekend at Green Man. What a lovely little (big) festival it is. I can honestly not think of a single negative thing to say about it Highlights for me were being on the barrier for I Break Horses and a couple of rows from the front for Mercury Rev doing Deserter Songs. Certainly a festival I would go back to despite it being a 189 mile drive from my house!

Gutted to have not been able to make this. How was the weather? did the site hold up well? How were neutral milk hotel? what a band to end the festival with...

Weather was good (no rain). The site was spacious enough...a few queues at bars. And maybe not enough toilets. The campsites, however, were quite crowded. NMH were, i thought, a bit lacklustre. BUT.....the TRUE closer of the festival, Nick HElm & The Helmettes, were fucking brilliant. So.....there.

Have to say this year for me the line up was pretty awesome and what made it great was the weather, i took a year out last year due to the mud in 2012 but so glad i made the trip down this year...
