Bisque
Just wondering what other efesters would considering their favourite & worst finals? Juve vs Ajax 1996 with my au pere & Dad Man Utd vs Bayern 1999 at my best mates house followed by hours of Tekken & of course watching Chelsea vs Bayern in Koh Phangan at five in the morning whilst travelling with my German Bayern supporter Wolfy (after watching West Ham go up earlier with my other traveller WH supporter Jim) Worst: the penalties between Chelsea & Man Utd
5co77ie
Even though I'm a Blue, I think it was the first one I saw - Liverpool v Roma 1984 (back in the days when England team players could take penalties) - or do you mean just Chumps League and not European Cup? Souness was terrific that day, Grobbelar did his wobbly legs, Dalglish and Rush worked well, and though I don't remember them two guys unknown today were in the team Mark Lawrenson, and Alan Hansen - whatever happened to them?If you're just talking Chumps then probably "Raul and the Kings Of Spain" in 2000 where they looked monumentalThe worst 1986, when it wasn't us, we was robbed!http://espnfc.com/columns/story/_/id/1481816/delaney-england-banned-europe?cc=5739 Edited February 7, 2014 by 5co77ie
kaosmark2
2013 for me. Fantastic final, two talented teams both going for it. Chelsea-Man U was fucking dire, awful play and feeling neither team deserved it. Chelsea defending against Bayern was hideous as well. Milan-Juve sticks out in my mind as being particularly bad, Italian football at its most cautious and bland. Liverpool - Milan was probably the next most exciting, but it was a crap quality tbh. Thoroughly enjoyed all 3 of the ones Barca - England in recent years, although again, none of them top 2013 for me. First one I saw is 2001 though, so can't comment on older ones. But the last one is definitely the best I've seen.
dentalplan
Best would probably be the Zidane final. 2002. Worst would definitely be Milan-Juve goalless draw the following year.

Spindles
Has to be '99 for me. Leaping around like mad bastards we were.
kaosmark2
I dunno, Milan were fantastic the first 45 and that Crespo goal to go 3 up was outstanding. There were loads of tactical shifts, a few good goals and a barely believable storyline. I'm biased but I think it is one of the few matches that will always stick out in football, let alone CL finals. Last years was good though. Was one of the few others in my lifetime that weren't dull, cagey affairs.
pink_triangle
I think I have vague memories of 1991 but its about 1994 when I have a good memory of these games. When I think of great champions league winning teams I think of the footballing lessons that Milan gave to Barcelona, Barcelona to Man Utd X 2 and Madrid to Valencia. You can only admire the quality that those sides reached, whether it makes them great finals is another thing. To me a penalty shootout slightly diminishes a final so that would rule out 96,01,03.05,08,12 (5 in 12 years, that's a bit depressing!). I have fond memoroes of Ajax v Milan as it was very compeititve but Im also very fond of that Ajax side. Arsenal V Barca was good but slightly ruined by the red card, Dortmund V Munich was also good.As for worst there are 2 stinkers that stick in my mind. Man U V Chelsea and Milan V Juve. Chimps in Balaclavas
Best: Istanbul 05. What a comeback! Worst: Athens 07.
