Cheers for the info jjason. How long is the walk from the Arena to the start of the campsite area?

Also any tips on where to camp on that map? I heard last year some people got washed out due to the bad weather.

Been listening to Grumbling Fur. Sound great. On my list of recommendations, Seahawks are probably most similar to them. Also one that I left off, but are worth checking out if you like your spacey electronica, are R.Seilog.

Depending on where you camp anywhere between 50 metres and 200 metres.

As to where you camp- you do not get a choice as you are directed to a spot and the festival fills 1 field at a time.

I have only got round to listening to The Acid from your recomendation list, excellent music.

#Neil-clarky: As to taking booze into the Arena: I guess I do look like somone who will have booze in their bag (It's the big sweaty face) so I inevitably get stopped. Try to look angelic and hope for the best. The security aren't the nasty type so the worst that will happen is you don't get in to the Arena until you drink up.

The Acid album is turning into one of my favourite albums of the year. I'm particularly enjoying the track 'Fame'. The Todd Terje album is definitely right up there too. Throw in Jon Hopkins (whos release last year was definitely a highlight of 2013) and Saturday's lineup for electronica is quite incredible really.

Looking at the Central Plaza lineup, I must say I don't really know what's going on... the Welsh male voice choir are listed right at the top. Do they feature on each day or just Saturday? From what i've heard they're well worth catching, but do they clash with bands?

London Grammar just cancelled several European festival incl Sziget in Budapest (which I'm off to on Tuesday) due to illness. I do not wish ill health on anyone so get well soon- preferably after festival 6

I think they are as dull as the wedding of a colleague so if they ditched festival no6 we might get a real headline act- may i suggest James!

I think London Grammar are ok, especially when compared to most 'pop' acts. I wouldn't personally have them as headliner, but at least their sound isn't as offensive as the one made by Clean Bandit – who Sziget festival have replaced them with.

Either way this is the statement they gave to Sziget festival...

“We are very sorry to announce that we will not be performing at Sziget Festival as billed. Due to a lengthy touring schedule over the last year and a half, Hannah has suffered with vocal fatigue which has forced us to cancel, at last minute, a number of recent shows. In order to maintain Hannah's voice and all of our well being, we have made the decision to withdraw from some of our upcoming festival performances. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience this causes and regret any disappointment of both our fans and festival organisers. Nevertheless we feel that our decision to reduce our workload is of great importance at this time. We hope you can understand and forgive us for the cancellation”.

So I guess they are picking and choosing which festivals to attend.

You are right, Clean Bandit are awful and I am sure I can find something much better on one of the other stages - it won't be hard!

I have always thought of Beck and The Pet Shop Boys as excellent headliners. London Grammar were at No 6 last year and played in the mid afternoon and i went to the gig. It was good and they went down well but there is no way on God's earth they are a headline act as they are just not exciting. They have only made 1 record so I guess it's the same set this year as last. People want to party at the end of the festival day, not fall asleep. Unlike Sziget there are no alternative stages open at that time so I guess I will be dancing outside a burger van - not a pretty sight.

Every other element of the festival is looking excellent so rant over.
