LEEDS v VFEST?

They're both line-up oriented so go with the one you like the most. Leeds is three days while V is only two, Leeds has more going on after the live music. While some of the musical genres overlap V is generally more chart pop/indie/rnb while Leeds will seem rockier, but those are very broad generalisations.

The collection of bands in your sig is pretty fucked up, You Me At Six will be at Leeds but there won't be anything like Peter Andre/Westlife/Busted, at least V will have some shitty X Factor losers somewhere on the bill.

From personal experience, having been to Glastonbury, Leeds, V and IOWof the UK festivals, I have to say they're both pretty naff, having said that it's about personal taste.

I'm not saying I didn't enjoy myself at either, because I had fun, but just had a dead 'look at me, mum and dad ket me go away for the weekend vibe', in that everyone was way OTT in everything really, on the flip side, V is full of divvys who spend more time trying to pose for selfies, and comparing hunter wellies and lots of pissed middle aged mums, clinging to the final remains of their youth (they don't btw).

But overall, Leeds does hands down win, despite the over exuberance of the escapee kids, it has far more going on, with Piccadilly Circus being a prime example, and the silent disco is a good laugh too.

V, well when the music ends, you may aswell go to bed, it just closes down.

Leeds is also an additional day of music, which considering you're paying the same, is well worth it. There's a few more stages too. I'd advise against early bird, cause after the first 2-3 hours, it's boring as fuck, infact in my appearances at the festival, you just end up soaked

If you're with your mates, you'll have a great laugh, and makes sure that if you want to see a band you do, oh and importantly, go to Leeds or V before Glastonbury, because I feel that my clearly old man approach to this message  is because going to the best one, before any of the others, ruined it for me cause they don't compare.

But you're guaranteed, great music and nightlife at Leeds, oh and I'm sure if you're into your substances, you'll be pleased. So yeah, Leeds.

Oh fwiw, I will be back this year for a day!
