garnettp
Just wondering if anyone has got a ticket and accomodation through these guys? Wondering if the extra cost on the accommodation is worth it. Cheers
Yoghurt on a Stick
I have never been, but If that kind of money is meaningless to you then I'd say it's worth it. What's not to like about the accommodation?
Brave Sir Robin
£270 per head (on top of the ticket cost), then caravans at £700+ which don't have working loos or showers?! Only worth it if you're dying to be in a big luxury trailer (£6k+), or you can't get a ticket any other way.
garnettp
it's the lack of ticket that's forcing my hand - no problem camping the last couple of years. Might just have to try for the resale
glasto-worker
it's the lack of ticket that's forcing my hand - no problem camping the last couple of years. Might just have to try for the resale Hospitality Ticket may be a better option and they can be bought at £415 ' but they go fast ' I have never camped there but I have had crew access to the Hospitality area and I know they have better facilities. I would imagine once the resale is out the way then that price will go up. Or do what I and many others do and be a Volunteer as there is many opportunities ' if you apply at the right time '

I have a mate who didn't get a ticket and is panicking about the resale chances so he may well be interested in this. You need to join a few more boards and over time you will spot them - price does vary depending when they are sold. on another board { urban75.net } there is a current posting where a person was offered hospitality tickets at £430 and he is not sure if he should bother. you just have to be at the right place at the right time but be aware many of these are not a actual ticket - procedures vary but some act like a Guest list - you show up give a name and Company name { lets say a radio station } and you will need a letter from that radio station so its a bit more risky as they may question who you are. Others are sent to a charity who may hold a auction - they will be just like normal tickets but the photo area is blank. in recent years there was a big scandal as a Security Company was driving in workers who were not workers - now what they paid I don't have a clue and since that blow up GFL has changed the entry procedure for Crews so its not so easy. Whatever way you do it you need to double check all the facts as its dead easy to sell tickets that appear to be genuine until the actual day when you try to use them. glasto-worker
Thanks. So do these hospitality tickets come up in the official Glasto resale then? No - they hand out so many months ago and others are sold but they are meant for the media - bands etc etc when there is tickets they dont have a face image so they look exactly the same as trader tickets. Years ago it was very rare to see a Hospitality Ticket being openly sold although it was common for people to hand them on to friends but these days they do pop up. chiaramundy
Does anyone have any feedback from staying here?
Spacey
I've stayed here a couple of times as it meant I could get a ticket . It's all quite nice and green with grassy areas. Space for your own tent or camper or you can hire one of theirs. Flushing toilets and showers which is handy. It is expensive and as I managed to get a ticket this year I won't be staying there, rather not spend that much but if you really want to go it is one way. They may have sold out of tickets now anyway. One advantage is there is a mini bus that picks up from gate C and after a long day that's nice. But saying that I'm quite happy to walk up the hill of death to campervan fields. I think if you really really want to go and you can't get a normal ticket and you are able to afford it go for it. But if you can get a ticket in the resale I wouldn't bother. There are a lot of rich kids there, you get the impression that Daddy didn't want them to mix with the riff raff so hired them a campervan. The people in the bring your own tents and campervans seemed friendly enough
Rhioui
I just want 3 bloody tickets! 1xfemale 2xmale I think its wrong that if someone can't go and they miss the refund deadline they can re-register the ticket to someone who wants it! Everyone seems to be making a big deal about using someone else's ticket but what's the big feel when they don't even check or if you rock in wearing a morph suit or your face covered in face paint? Trust me on this one it works lol!! Good luck to all those still trying!!

jeffie
Note to gate staff. Extra special checks on yoofs wearing morph suits or face paint.
glasto-worker
Note to gate staff. Extra special checks on yoofs wearing morph suits or face paint. I am surprised no one has tried the pantomime horse trick - as long as there is no dogs about I have never walked though the gates where they check tickets since they changed to photo tickets but I am sure they know all the dodges. Rhioui
Yoof? Is that northern for youths? I might try dressing up as a glasto steward and let myself in? Any ideas when this secret resale is on? Silly question really with it being a secret lol! Lots of talk about the 12th?
Rhioui
Hey glasto worker! Going back on a previous message you posted about hospitality tickets. A lot of the ones I've contacted will only sell them with accommodation on there sites! One company wanted money for the ticket, money for a pass for there site and money for accommodation ie caravans or yurts etc they were even charging for a space for a tent after you paid for a pass to be on there site!!! They refused to sell the hospitality ticket on its own! Do you know anyone who sells just the tickets? Cheers!

Its a Sellers market and that is how they end up with tickets in the first place - they know they can make more money by doing this and there will always be someone willing to pay the price. Apart from the normal way you are going to find it very difficult to get a ticket on its own.
Rhioui
Thanks for responding glasto worker! I'm guessing your there this year?
glasto-worker
Thanks for responding glasto worker! I'm guessing your there this year? Yes I am - the good bit with being a volunteer for so long is there is always a place for me - I also have very strong connections with the other main Bar Operator { which is run exactly the same way as the WBC } and they offer me a place each year as well so I don't have to chase after jobs - as long as there is Bars at Glastonbury I will be there - Next year will be the big one as its my 30th Glastonbury - In actual year terms this year it will be 35 years since I started going so will have to organise a crew party. Good luck with your hunt.
petersmithdurham
Fly Glastonbury at Windinglake Farm is a costly but unforgettable way to see the festival. Only sold with accommodation and farm passes. They will not post passes out . Once there it is slick well run operation, great bar and cafe - clean toilets and showers - the odd celebrity neighbour! I know that they have some tickets left but very short on accommodation ! See you there!
smiley33
it's a great place - expensive but worth it if you've got the dollar. Pimms tent, lovely gardens, bedouin tent, loads of charging points, mini-bus to take you down to gate d every 15 minutes, hot showers and toiilets. winner.
