Mash011
The R&L sets won't be any different from what they're playing now, I don't know why anyone would think they would be. Their Glastonbury set was the exact same one they'd been playing in Europe beforehand, and I'd imagine Glasto is a bit more special than R&L Well while Glasto was the same set they did make it special by doing those wonderful versions of Mardy Bum and Cornerstone with a string section. Not to say I expect anything of the sort for R&L - probably just the acoustic A Certain Romance they've done at their few other UK dates this year. mattgimmeshelter
If they put A Certain Romance back in the encore, and replaced thunderstorms with Teddy Picker (as they've done) and included The View From The Afternoon i'd be happy. As they've already implemented these songs into the setlist, it's not too much of a request.
dentalplan
They didn't have The View From the Afternoon in either of their last two shows - both major festival headline appearances. Lol. Edited August 4, 2014 by dentalplan

Lol. oh well that lasted long. edit: Actually, as a counter to that - they were both US festivals, and I doubt tracks from their first album are as popular over there. mattgimmeshelter
Would they really know most tracks from their debut?
dentalplan
Yes. Also, isn't the whole reason anyone was discussing it because they put it into a setlist on their US tour?
mattgimmeshelter
Yes. Also, isn't the whole reason anyone was discussing it because they put it into a setlist on their US tour? and dropped it the show after I thought bands usually put songs/take songs out of the setlist to see what works in the set. Maybe even rehearse it if they plan to play it at future shows.
dentalplan
Sometimes - it depends on the band. As Com said they've had the same setlist for all European shows and he'd know because he went to Werchter. They've planned that setlist because it works in Europe so why would they change it? It's gonna be the exact same as T - you might as well go see Pendulum DJ set.
Tobieski
Teddy Picker is pretty awful though.
abcdefg
I would love the Paramore set list to be something like: Now Grow Up Misery Business That's what you get Brick by boring brick Ignorance Emergency Hallelujah Ain't It fun Let the flames begin Part II Last hope Looking up The only exception Future Encore: Playing god (acoustic) Anklebiters Still into you

Gucci Piggy
Anklebiters Do they dedicate that one to all their fans? My par was better than tourette's tbh. Edit: Just realised those were actually the first two songs on the setlist, was a good par actually. dentalplan
I don't understand why it is that if Paramore make an average post rock song, it's better than if a post rock band does it? If your mum makes your dinner, does it taste better than cooked by a restaurant chef because that's not her profession? For fuck's sake. Gucci Piggy
I don't think they have tbh. I said it was good, but I don't think it's better than if a post-rock band made it, purely by virtue of Paramore's profession being writing nauseating shit-house songs for arsefaces. dentalplan
Yellow Fellow called it the best song of last year. Mogwai did a pretty good soundtrack to Les Revenants. Kveikur was good too but maybe members of both bands should form a pop-rock group instead.
Gucci Piggy
Brennistein was the best song of the year though and Yellow is probably a Simpson I guess if he's yellow, so ignore him.
