Fill the line-up with commercial sh1te and top off with safe bands with singalong football crowd chants. Enter Kasabian and Stereo 'Have a Naaaaaaaasaaaaaaas Day' phonics. These slots could easily have been Kings Of Leon or Killers. They are interchangeable.

There is enough variety for everyone. Some folk want an all out rock festival for example and then would moan because they're all clashing. There's over 100 acts and not many would get to see over 30 the full Weekend. Variety is healthy! It's designed to keep MOST people happy.

Yes, you are right. This is why we are now putting in a 10 hour drive each way and associated expenses instead of the old 2 hour drive. You clearly wouldn't know "variety" if it tickled you on the bollox.

I think there is quite a range of variety. Most people I know would be relatively happy with the lineup. I don't think anyone would ever be ecstatic, unless they created the lineup themselves. I think T do a great job of getting acts to please everybody.

It's not perfect. No festival is perfect as everyone has different opinions on what a good festival is.

I always found it odd that Kasabian left out Reason is Treason too. I put it down to them maybe not being able to play it well enough live

Yeah it must be that fact. Or perhaps the song isn't a favourite with the band, I know loads of acts who aren't even fond of their most successful songs.

I have voted with my feet and haven't been since 2012 but this is a public forum and if I want to moan about the new direction I will. There's only one thing worse than moaners and that's people who moan about moaners. The irony seems lost on them. If that's your thing try Facebook, there's loads on there. I know that the T staff do read here and so I try and nudge them in the right direction. This immature wido has spent 2k on festivals this year, just 3 years ago T was the first on the list every year but I just can't bring myself to part with hard earned when the return is so poor. The campsite banter and party atmosphere is 2nd to none but that's fuck all to do with GE and DF and I won't line his pockets on the strength of it, the music has to be there too. When they do finally put some bands on worth the top dollar you are paying, look me up, I'll put a beer in your hand and let you explain what a wido is.

It has run downhill for years and a new venue ain't going to bring in more punters. It's a music festival and if the acts are mediocre then the fans will act with their feet and stop going.

 

The headliners ain't that bad apart from Avicii imo but i don't think paying £91.75 for a day ticket can justify the lineup.

 

WTF is it with Ticketmasters fees? £9.25 service charge per ticket. Robbing bastards!

Looking at the Longitude lineup it would be cool if T could share their bill in the future like they did with Oxygen. The Chemical Brothers and Caribou would've been great to see this year.

Looking at previous lineups, David effing Guetta has been on every year since 2010. He must have had to increase the size of his USB stick a few times
