When did Twin Atlantic get big enough to do the Hydro? This genuinely has shocked me. They are ok but never an arena sized band.

hydro can be cut as small as 4,000 while still retaining some seats so perfectly possible for alot of bands to play it

Ah! I wouldn't imagine there would be as much of a payday for the band though over say a full 02 Academy.

Maybe its the "local factor", abit like the Courteeners being able to do arenas in Manchester but no where else.

Not sure if been mentioned already but Counting Crows are playing Bilbao BBk same weekend as T and on their facebook it says:

"Bilbao! We’ll be playing the Bilbao BBK Live on July 9th!

w/ Capital Cities, SAM SMITH, Azealia Banks, Brandon Flowers, and more"

Can see use getting at least Sam Smith and Brandon Flowers.

Can defo see Muse playing now considering they are at BBK, also I think have the ting-tings back in a quite low down spot like maximo park played this year is quite plausible seems they are doing quite a few festivals.

Don't like them much myself though.

Pessimistically, I see Imagine Dragons as being a sub next year. They're also probably going to be the "fresh new" festival headliners on the circuit in a couple of year's time.

Also, last year Isle of Wight and T shared two headliners. I would be chuffed with any of Isle of Wight's headliners at T next year!

Except they're in Portugal on the 9th, BBK on the 11th and France on the 13th. No chance of them but they're a UK exclusive at Download anyway. Also they're playing festivals that are going to reflect the new album (i.e. it's a bit heavier) and T doesn't fit in with that at all

Yeah I think The Ting Tings will play as well, probably early on Radio 1.

Those three festivals you just mentioned don't indicate a heavier nature at all and they're doing three days in three countries in June so why not again? Copping's 'exclusive' claims are notoriously weak so I think a festival in Scotland is definitely possible. I think they'll play.

As I always say, bands have done the whole Europe to T on the same weekend with those sorts of dates before, but I would agree with the guy that says it's not likely. Wouldn't rule it out though.

As for Imagine Dragons... I'm not sure. I certainly don't see much reason for them to keep moving up the bill beyond where they were this year.

I was thinking they'd play there as well. They'd be a good booking opposite a poppier headliner or dance act on radio 1.

Headlining Tuts would be a good move for them. It's the highest profile slot I think they could take at the moment.

I'm not a fan of Twin Atlantic probably because I haven't gave a decent enough listen but don't see why they couldn't headline Tuts, Alt-J went from playing first on to headlining when they hadn't even brought out any new material.
