T in The Park 2015

A summer sessions show would be about all else they could play, and I'm not even sure they would count that as a festival, I thought it weird just to say english/welsh exclusive, unless they are playing in Northern Ireland or Ireland, would be a quick return to T but that's no unheard of

if it was about Ireland/N.Ireland then Melvin would have included 'Scottish' in his exclusive claim. He's not the sort of guy who'd give away a claim like that; remember, he's the guy who once claimed Pulp as a 'northern English exclusive'.

So it's defo about something in Scotland, and it'll definitely be something under DF's control. T in the Park is by far the most likely, i'd say, given Mumford's current popularity.

Well they said the same for Courteeners last year who were then expected to be at T but were at Summer Sessions so I think they do consider it that way. Mumfords love pushing their Gentlemen of the Road brand too so they might combine that with Summer Sessions.

Courteeners are hugely smaller tho, compared to Mumfords.

And I'd say that T needs the biggest acts to establish itself at its new home, and Mumfords fits the bill better than just about anything else. Despite what you or I might think, Mumfords are hugely popular.

Exactly, tbh they've repeated Kasabian, Calvin and Arctic Monkeys many times why not Mumford?

I can't see T turning down mumford if they got them...

Having been since 2008 it's not a festival that minds repeating acts every few years, The Libertines, Mumford and any other of the rumoured acts would go down massively well at T I think, especially as there's bound to be some nonsense on the r1 stage at the same time

The Libertines, Noel/The Prodigy and Mumford & Sons I reckon. Seeing as they have an extended licence again on the saturday night they will bill Noel and Prodigy as coheadliners.

Florence for glastonbury exclusive, which may make her headline booking look stronger.

Florence could always sub Mumford, don't think that would be out of the question for T they usually have big subs, I would think The Libertines, The Prodigy/Noel and Mumford can't be far off

Nah she'd headline T if she was booked this year.

I reckon she's glastonbury exclusive, and it'l kinda make the headline booking stronger, she's headlining too many EU festivals to sub in her home country.

Noel looks out of glastonbury (maybe) by his tour dates so I reckon he's only accepting headline billings in the UK, T & V festival for him i'd imagine.

Do fecking bumfords not know what a hiatus is? I was ever so happy when they binned it. To be back headlining again after just a 1 year gap for a band that supposedly split up sux baws. A new low even for T. I would like to offer my services in permanently splitting them up and crippling their instrument hands. Fuckers would still probably come back and headline as a barber shop quartet.

Out of that lot which is 'the cool one that all the kids will go see' Mumford?

Not into Florence at all and only know 2/3 Libertines songs. That waste of space Pete Doherty will probably not turn up anyway.

Florence will sell a load of tickets once their new album/singles from it start to appear. I reckon come May Flo/Mum/Libs would sell pretty well, albeit not a hugely exciting or popular set of headliners here.

Prodigy I guess would sell similarly to Flo, if not slightly less well. Less crossover appeal. But perhaps a more exciting headliner. As dental said, could end up doing 2nd stage though.

I personally would love to get pissed and go to Robbie Williams headlining, which would definitely sells loootsss of tickets.

Libs/Robbie/Mumford for me is the strongest combo. But Prodigy and Flo as alternatives aren't weak in my eyes. Especially, if you had something like

Libs / Vaccines
David Guetta
Belle and Sebastian

Robbie / The Script
Alt-J
Nero

Mumford / Noel G
Prodigy
Mark Ronson

Something like that would pretty well I reckon

Is saying Peter Doherty is a waste of space your excuse for not knowing any of their music, and because you don't know any of their music they can't possibly headline?

The Libertines completely justify headlining and anyone who's ever seen them at a big show will agree they are tremendous I'm sure, and also I'm lead to believe they are fully sober from drugs after the last thai adventure so there's that excuse out the window
